Cameras are still rolling on HBO Max's Batgirl movie in Glasgow, Scotland, and following our recent look at Michael Keaton's new Batman costume, we have a first glimpse of the outfit Brendan Fraser will don as the villainous Firefly.

We're not sure if it's actually the Doom Patrol actor under the mask (it's more likely to be a stunt-double), but the getup appears to be most closely inspired by the Arkham Asylum video games' version of the character.

Though there was some uncertainty surrounding Fraser's role in the film when his casting was first announced, it's since been confirmed that he is indeed playing the villainous Garfield Lynns. We still don't know how the character will be introduced or what connection he'll have to Barbara Gordon, but based on everything we've seen so far, it looks like he will be based on the sociopathic pyromaniac who was introduced post-Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Check out the photo below, along with a video which shows Batgirl giving chase on her motorcycle.

Batgirl will star Leslie Grace as the titular hero, along with Jacob Scipio and Ivory Aquino. J.K. Simmons is also set to reprise the role of Jim Gordon.

Loki composer Natalie Holt recently announced that she's signed on to work on the movie's score, while Christina Hodson, who wrote Bumblebee and also worked on Birds of Prey and The Flash, penned the most recent draft of the script.

The HBO Max movie is being directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. No release date has been announced, but Batgirl is expected to debut later this year.

Wished he had turned around to get a better look at him, but it seems decent for a grounded approach. Maybe he will fly later.

Firefly looks good. Grounded. Who isn't happy for Brendan Fraser at this point?
Batgirl's costume is on the mark as well. Fingers crossed it doesn't suck.

Think it would've been cool to see a younger Keaton and younger Fraser as these characters butting heads.

Now that I think about, what if Keaton isn't pulled into the DCEU but Barbara and Gordon are pulled into the Burtonverse? No way that's gonna happen though.

Not bad at all.

Dont think the coat is needed, the jump suit would be cool on its own but it doesnt hurt the design

No wings or Jet pack? Isn't they whole point of Fireflys name cuz he's a fire villain that also flys? And has a cool helmet that looks like a bug head.... I'm no expert but...

I love the Firefly look. It's definitely inspired by Burton's Bat-Universe.

When I saw Firefly, I immediately thought of this.

Very grounded look. Jetpack was a long shot but I like it. Much better than Gotham's take.

I love mi comic book movies but whats this no sense of wanting to make things grounded. The main characters are always on point but villians its to far fetched to make them accurate ? Lol
