JOKER: Gotham City PD Chases Down The Clown Prince Of Crime In New Set Photos

As shooting continues on Joker, another batch of revealing set photos have surfaced today and these show Joaquin Phoenix's Clown Prince of Crime running through the Bronx with co-stars Shea Whigham and Bill Camp in hot pursuit.

It's previously been reported that those two are playing Gotham City police detectives and that's pretty much confirmed with these shots. The sequence reportedly included Phoenix's stunt double being hit by a taxi, so it will be interesting seeing how that factors into the plot and what it means for the future Batman villain's journey throughout this standalone origin story.

These images also offer a great new look at The Joker's makeup and the Caesar Romero influence is clear to see. However, it's definitely something new and a pretty fitting look for this version.
