I think the story would be more interesting if they got a bad guy in a position of political power, Rupert Thorne, for instance.

And yeah, this guy wears more eye makeup than Green Day.

It is makeup, check imfb FAQ.

His eyelashes are thick + he wears eyeliner.

Which is ridiculous. Interesting to see if he'll wear it again in TDKR.

My apologies if a ton of replies show up from me... they aren't working on my end. In any event, his bio on IMDB says its not mascara, and I don't see any reason to doubt that... It's not like he's so highly in demand that he can dictate to Nolan that his Mayor character would make that unusual fashion choice.

@DeathAdder: What on Earth are you talking about? Yinsen in Iron Man, Hogun in Thor, Morita (of the Howling Commandos) in Captain America, the entire first act of The Incredible Hulk being set in South America...

That's just off the top of my head.

His dark eyelashes are natural,
he's said it over and over again
but no one is listening!
He's Latino, thus the dark hair
and eyes!

He's a damn good actor!
Great to see him coming back!

"Nestor Carbonell's eyelashes are naturally thick and dark. But he did wear eyeliner for this role. According to the site movietome.com, he wore eyeliner to achieve a "Frank Miller comic book" effect."

Gotta love the eyeliner!
