TDKR: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Says There Were No Discussions About What 'Suit' He Puts On

JGL also states that he thinks the ending was a perfect way to end Christopher Nolan's trilogy and that he doesn't believe that they'll continue the story with a spinoff for Robin John Blake.

A lot of folks and many of the users here in the CBM community are convinced that Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy will continue on with Josepth Gordon Levitt as Batman, Robin or Nightwing. Levitt however, is not so sure. When asked whether he thought the story would continue he stated that 'its not up to him but that it would be awesome to be in that movie!'

Levitt goes on to say though that there were never any hypothetical conversation on set to specify that if the story continued on whether he'd be Batman, Nightwing or Robin. Said Levitt---

Honestly, no, we never talked about that. And honestly I know a lot of people talk about the ending of that movie being a setup for a sequel but I don't think that's necessarily what it is. It's a great, perfect ending for that trilogy.

What's best for the trilogy is to leave it as what it is, indeed.

However, I DO want to see...maybe, a photograph of him in the Batman suit, or some true interpretation like that.

Why do people think he would become anything other than Batman? It makes no sense to me. Bruce said "Anyone could be Batman", he leaves him with all his Batman gear, there's a new Bat Signal, and the very last shot is JGL RISING in the Batcave before the title "The Dark Knight Rises" appears

I say Nolan is cock-teasing his fans with this.

"Hey fans"
"What?"
"Guise imma put Robin in TDKR"
"FHWERGERTHYTYRTDHTRJRYT"
"Oh shit sorry at the end..."

Nolan:

Was it a waste to put him in and do nothing with him?

Not a fan of the actor or how Robin was used in TDKR. Would rather they do the charactor justice than twist and change him to fit Nolan's crap watered-down Robin. Bring on the Batworld reboot, and leave the Nolanverse where it belongs, untouched and in the past (well, still in theaters, but the story is done, stick a fork in it).

I hate it when people say Nolan is overrated and then turn around and praise Whedon. Whedon is who's overrated in my opinion. I LOVE Firefly, Serenity, and The Avengers, but he is still a little overrated. Nolan on the other hand deserves the credit he gets because he knows how to make an epic film blockbuster.

That was silly to ad him in as Robin, led no where and did nothing.

The ending of the movie was great. That being said not sure how fans refer to it as ambiguous. It pretty clearly wraps every little detail. Bane and Talia are both dead, Bruce/Bats clearly survives the ending as Lucious crew clearly states Bruce Waynes Id was the one that fixed the Auto pilot (why go through the trouble to explain that, if not to explain that it is Bruce at the end), They clearly show Alfred seeing Bruce, it wasn't a fleeting moment where it was someone who just looked like Bruce Wayne, it clearly was him. How else does JGL/Blake get the info to go to Wayne Manor. It is clear as can be that Bruce survives and has passed the torch, Not sure how much more blatant you can be.

It was the worst in the trilogy. It's time for a reboot, get someone who know's what there doing. The originals batman films were pretty good, I dare say it but the batman and robin was actually fun. I'm sure the right director can do a proper batman, not turn it into some milked resident evil style movie.

Shit ending, raped the origins and character of robin, making him a grown ass man and a cop.

Movie was rather crappy, and so was TDK Ledgers performance was legendary but Bale has been lackluster throughout all films, and the great director barely made a good trilogy from some pile of shit scripts.

They did a good job o introducing a lot of villains, but most of them were a misfire in regards to character and motivations.

And wtf is the use of a comment system if people are not allowed to express that they don't like the movie. So what only positive comments are allowed ? does that go for articles about Green Lantern and Ghost Rider as well ? [frick] you Ajmathew80 I am a beautiful nerd with a good physique

Good don't continue I just realize why I am so critically of the these movies I never really felt Batman grew from Batman begins he didn't become the greatest detective on earth, he didn't create his own awesome gadgets, and he kept getting out smarted by the bad guy all he did was show up beat the CRAP out of somebody then retire
