Will The Dark Knight Rises Shoot In Pittsburgh After All?

Will The Dark Knight Rises Shoot In Pittsburgh After All?

Allegedly, the director of the much-anticipated The Dark Knight Rises Chris Nolan, was recently spotted on the streets of Pittsburgh, maybe indicating the city remains considered.

It was reported a couple days ago that the Christopher Nolan-directed highly anticipated The Dark Knight Rises may miss out on the opportunity to film in the City of Champions, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The reason: a freeze on Pennsylvania’s Film Tax Credit Program, Warner Bros. may have to look elsewhere. However, via Nolan Fans, that same day, the Oscar Nominated director Nolan was spotted on Smithfield Street in Pittsburgh, huddled along with his team, presumingly overlooking a map; location scouting.

While this doesn't prove much, legitimately at least, Pittsburghers may still have a chance to see Batman rise. Anyhow, The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, and Michael Caine, hitting theaters July 20, next year.

I like the idea bc i live in Pittsburgh and it would be great for the city. But I also hate bc i live in Pittsburgh and this is a small city. A production this size will [frick] up the traffic parking etc... i mean its a mess whenever they film downtown.

Have any of the British CBM'ers watched the latest Alan Carr Chatty Man? Tom Hardy revealed some telling stuff about how big he will be physically playing Bane? For those of you who can be bothered to write the article for the site I recommend you watch it...

Let's face it Pittsburgh is Gotham just smaller, fly around Gotham in DCUO and you think damn this looks like Pittsburgh. I'm hoping this happens.

I've always thought the alley next to the Harris theatre Downtown was a perfect Crime Alley. We have Churches on top of buildings. It's just perfect, for Gotham IMO, I've always thought so since I was like 12, and that was 18 years ago!!

I love it. Pittsburgh is only about an hour and a half from here. Skot888 is right the burg is like a little Gotham. It will work great if Nolan if he uses it. Pittsburgh is normally home for zombie films.
