Both films are going to make a massive amount of cash, but BvS has the slight advantage simply because the film is starring three of the most recognized and popular cultural icons in all of human history (besides Jesus). So that alone is going to get butts in seats. Every woman is going to see this because Wonder Woman is in it and is THE icon for all women of ALL ages. Every child is going to want to see this because Batman and Superman are their heroes. And every nerd is going to see this either out of sheer curiosity, or because they are just really hyped for the film. BvS should easily be able to break 1 billion, but if it is truly a great film, 2 billion should not be out of view.

But if the film just sucks overall, I wouldn't be surprised if it only manages to make 700-800 million. I mean those aren't bad numbers, but for such a massive film those would be pretty weak.

If WB really wanted to create the greatest hype for the film of all time, come 2016 Super Bowl they need to throw an epic trailer in there (preferably during the beginning of the game). That would generate so much freaking buzz the internet may just simply implode in on itself.

...but I kinda agree with you...though BvS could make more $, but CW will be a better movie...

I've stated it before but WB needs to capitalize on the 'vs' aspect of the film. They need to do stuff on social media outlets like "Whose side are You on, #Batman or #Superman? They should even consider doing stuff with fast-food chains. Hell, strike up a deal with taco bell where for a limited time you can either buy the 'Kryptonian 5 Dollar Box' or the 'Caped Crusader 5 Dollar Box'. Or for 7-Eleven they should sell novelty drinks in those big plastic cups with the characters printed on them. For Superman they could make a 'Man of Steel Power Punch' and for Batman they could make a 'Dark Knight Fusion Cola' or some shit. Thats the type of shit the marketing department needs to work on.

Both of these films should honestly save their ammo for 2016, the year the movies are released. I honestly feel like neither films should really show to much at the 2015 comic-con, if they do, people still have a year to wait and see them. So it only makes sense to just wait for 2016, then unleash the flood gates. THAT will guarantee interest for both films from the general public.

@Omarvls
In all honesty both films would gain a lot of buzz if they did the 'Whose side are YOU on?" type scenario. WB would gain the most though, because Batman vs Superman is (and I know some people may disagree with me) MUCH more iconic than Captain America vs Iron Man. So is WB did that for BvS, that'd be a really smart move on their part.

Captain America Civil War will basically have the star power of an Avengers movie, I mean Iron Man 3 made 1.3 Billion with just Iron Man.

Dawn Of Justice is harder to predict in my opinion, it has the potential for 2 Billion depending on how good of a movie it is. I feel it will at least make a billion even if it's not good. That being said here are my box office predictions.

Civil War = 1.6 Billion

Dawn Of Justice = 1.4 Billion

WW comes in at 59. Anything that isn't Batman related (to include Justice League) isn't lighting the world on fire. I really think people over estimate the Wonder Woman effect. Her popularity and icon status is based SOLELY on Linda Carter. Justice League will live and die with how good Batman is portrayed. Personally I'm very excited, I think Ben is going to be amazing but don't fool yourselves, Batman pushes BvS into billion dollar territory. Wonder woman is a bonus.

I'm definitely more of a Marvel fan than DC but that's not to say that I don't like or very much enjoy Dc comics and their characters. I think everyone can agree that both sides have fantastic characters. I happen to be a huge Superman and Batman fan so naturally I'm very excited to see Dawn of Justice. The thought of seeing Superman and Batman together on the big screen is every comicbook fans dream. I personally do think DC and Warner might be rushing things but in the end I know this movie will be a success at the box office and because DC is finally starting to buckle down and create a cinematic universe of their own this will result in pushing Marvel to make bigger and better movies and for DC to do the same. Either way, both Marvel and DC fans will benefit from this. The next several years are going to be a thrill ride for all comicbook fans.
