On the 9th of November 2014, Michael Shannon who had played General Zod in Man Of Steel was spotted out in Chicago with the Man Of Steel himself. A lucky fan found the two actors out at a club in Chicago, where they both obliged to take a quick photo. Unbeknowset to them at the time that this may be a big spoiler for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. As General Zod was killed by Superman at the end of Man Of Steel, these scenes would have to be set prior to his death, or in post-mortem.
The scenes currently being filmed in Chicago have included Superman (Henry Cavill), Lois Lane (Amy Adams), and other smaller unacknowledged characters (Kahina, Jim, etc.) Perhaps they are filming scenes that will bridge the gap between the two DC films.
