Will Commissioner Gordon Appear In BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE?

Will Commissioner James Worthington "Jim" Gordon make an appearance in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? According to a source for Batman-On-Film he will give the film a mustache ride. Chugga-chugga choo-choo!

Ben Affleck's Batman might be hanging out with old trusty pal Jim Gordon sooner than most of us had envisioned. The latest Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice rumor has our favorite Police Commissioner of Gotham City popping up in the film. Here's the report from Batman-On-Film:
Is Commissioner Jim Gordon in BATMAN v SUPERMAN?

According to the aforementioned FOBOF (friend of Batman-On-Film), that’s what he’s hearing. Since the Batman of BvS is supposed to be a “seasoned, weary, grizzled crime-fighting veteran,” it’s safe to assume that most – if not all – of the Batman Family (and Bat-Villains) already exist in the new DC Cinematic Universe. Based on that line of thinking, a short appearance by Jim Gordon certainly isn’t out the realm of possibility. However, I’ve got to think that since the role of Gordon is such an iconic and important part of the Batman mythos, if the character was really in the film the part would have already been cast and we’d know with whom.

The character was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, and made his first appearance in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939). The character has portrayed in live-action format by many actors. For television, Neil Hamilton played Gordon on the on television 1960's campy television series, and for Fox's Batman-less series he is being played by Ben McKenzie. On film, Gordon first appeared in the 1949 Batman mini-movies, played by Lyle Talbot. Pat Hingle played the part in both the Tim Burton Batman films as wells as the Joel Schumacher films. Lastly, Gary Oldman won high praise for his performance as Gordon in Christopher Nolan's epic Batman trilogy. He'll be a tough act to follow.
BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE - Zack Snyder will direct. It's written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. The film stars: Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent and Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The cast also includes: Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Ma Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Will arrive in theaters May 6, 2016.

Maybe a cameo or something... I still want this to.be a Superman centric film where Batman is a threat to the man of steel, but from batman and Luthor perspective Superman (being an alien) is the threat to the world. would be cool to get another Superman Rogue confirmed soon, either Metallo or Brainiac... Those two need to appear in this universe

Let's look at it logically, if Batman is in this we should expect to see some scenes in Gotham. Chances are the most important member of the police force might show up

there is a couple more interesting blurbs on the actual batman-on-film site.

1. WW has an "extended cameo"
2. In the original script Doomsday was created by Lex using Zod's DNA

Bryan Cranston would be awesome as Jim Gordon. As long as they gave him red hair.
However, as this is supposed to be a grizzled, weary, Dark Knight Returns-esque Batman, I would prefer Commisioner Ellen Yindel.
It would be good if the DCCU Batman was just a little ways ahead of the comics, and more into Dark Knight Returns territory.
Also, to seed a future Batman Beyond movie, I think they should introduce Sgt. Barbara Gordon as Batman's main confidante, on the force.
Just my two cents.

Sarah Paulson for Commisioner Yindel.

Well I would have no problem if Bryan was Jim Gordon. I wonder if Harvey Bullock wold also show up. That would be great. Harvey hasn't been on screen yet. So I would like to see him. I also would not have any issues if they showed the rest of the GCPD too. Getting to see Renee Montoya, Dan Foley, Wayne Roder & Stan Kitch. It does make sense that Jim would be in this movie because B/S does take place in Gotham. So I hope this is true.

Bryan Cranston would kill it but they will probably go for someone who no one ever would of thought of, that a majority will hate at first, warm up to, then accept a few months later. Do that for consistencies sake at least.

Well outside of Jeremy Irons as Alfred, can't think of a single person against that.
