PLOT - Birdman is a dark comedy that follows a former actor, who once played an iconic superhero, as he mounts a Broadway play based on a Raymond Carver short story in a bid to reclaim past glory. However, the play’s egotistical leading man threatens to throw everything down the tubes.

BIRDMAN is being directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu ("21 Grams"). He also wrote the script with Nicolas Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris and Armando Bo. The cast includes: Emma Stone ("The Amazing Spider-Man 2"), Zach Galifianakis ("The Hangover"), Edward Norton ("The Incredible Hulk"), Naomi Watts ("King Kong") and Michael Keaton ("Batman Returns").

I gotta say I love the photography used in the film. Those angles and shots makes the movie feel fresh and stylish.

I'm calling it now, this might be the best movie featuring a "superhero" this year.

Keaton had to have gotten some work done on his face...he was looking his age the past few years and now in that interview he looks like Bruce Wayne with grey hair. Can't say I disapprove.

I like the film and Keaton but that scene, though iconic, never made sense and was uncharacteristic of Bruce. I would have preferred if Bruce somehow had to use a Batman gadget to get him and Vicki out of there and Vicki finding he was Batman THAT way instead of through Alfred. I could picture an escape scene like that in the original 40s comics, it would have fit the film.

Everyone should watch Alejandro González Iñárritu's other films, this guy is a legend. Recommend watching his Death trilogy, starting with Amores Perros, a Mexican classic

My favorite part of Keaton's Batman is when Alfred went on vacation and Bruce had to fend for himself.
