BIRDS OF PREY Spoilers: Does The Movie Have A Post-Credits Scene? Here's What To Expect!

It's become commonplace for superhero movies to have post-credits scenes to set up future stories, but does Birds of Prey buck the trend or tease something like The Suicide Squad? Find out more here...

Does Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) have a post-credits scene? There's a simple and disappointing answer to that question: No!

There is, however, still a good reason to stick around once the credits roll. If you wait until after the movie has finished, a voiceover from Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn kicks in to make fun of those who have chosen to stick around. Offering a reward for their patience, she promises to reveal a juicy secret about Batman and says, "Did you know that Batman is f-" before the audio cuts out.

As a result, we're left hanging and never get to find out what Harley was going to say! Our guesses, though, would be that she was going to say, "Did you know that Batman is f***ing Bruce Wayne?" or "Did you know that Batman is f***ing Catwoman?" The movie is R-Rated so the latter makes sense.

There's no denying that this is a little disappointing, because fans would have surely appreciated some sort of sequel tease or even a glimpse at Harley's return in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad

Still, with Warner Bros. moving away from a traditional shared universe and no longer attempting to replicate the success of Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, post-credits scenes in the DCEU could be a thing of the past.

Stay tuned for more Birds of Prey updates over the weekend.

Early word on Thursday’s box office was not great, not disastrous.

Deadline is beginning to hedge its bets downward, but it’s really early yet (even the preview numbers could come in higher still):

“Although much lower than such R-rated superhero fare as Joker ($13.3M), Deadpool ($12.7M) and Logan ($9.5M), Birds of Prey is more female-skewing. Hopefully the under 25 female set, which is known to head to the multiplex in packs at the last minute, can raise business upward. Birds of Prey expands to 4,236 locations Friday.

Birds of Prey‘s preview numbers currently are just under Shazam‘s $5.9M Thursday — it was rated PG-13 and had early shows that began at 4 p.m. — and right around Warner Bros.’ R-rated 2009 feature adaptation of DC’s Watchmen ($4.5M), which was back when previews started at midnight.”

While tracking largely has the domestic start between $50M-$55M, Warners was spotting $45M, and the more sources I speak with, the more they think the Margot Robbie movie will open in the upper $40M range.”

Loved it. It was a fun movie with great fight scenes throughout the whole movie, though the narrative flashbacks were a bit annoying, it was obviously needed to move the movie forward being as there were so many characters and it actually being a team movie.

My girl was sick last night so I will be seeing it a second time, which is fine by me because I am sure I will enjoy it more the second go around.

To add I had low expectations for this movie, mostly due to the trailers (which I am now glad did not give to much info).

Still, with Warner Bros. moving away from a traditional shared universe

How is it traditional when shared universes started in 2008 and there's only two of them; One movie and one TV? WB is just going back to the old disconnected solos that've been around since like the '40s.

Saw it last night. The action is good, the story is mediocre at best, but for comic fans, it hits and misses exactly where we expected it to. The things that missed, really missed fo me though. Solid C+ outing. Nothing special.
