Is THE SUICIDE SQUAD Star John Cena Teasing A Big Screen Adaptation Of X-O MANOWAR?

WWE Superstar & Hollywood actor John Cena enjoys teasing fans on his Instagram account, but a recent post has people wondering if the F9 star could be about to play X-O Manowar in a live-action adaptation.

It seems WWE Superstar turned Hollywood actor John Cena is a fan of Valiant's X-O Manowaras he recently used Instagram to share some artwork from the comic book series.

This came shortly after his memorable "Firefly Fun House" match at WrestleMania, and it would certainly be a fitting role for Cena after wrapping filming on the likes of The Suicide Squad and F9! He notes in his Instagram bio, "Welcome to my Instagram. These images will be posted without explanation, for your interpretation. Enjoy."

With that in mind, we can't say for sure whether X-O Manowar is a role Cena is in talks for or one he's just interested in. But with his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel starring in Bloodshot, it would make sense, and that's a crossover studios bosses likely believe would be a big draw (given the critical response to Bloodshot, though, we're not so sure).

Former Valiant publisher Dinesh Shamdasani (and current Bloodshot film producer) has previously said that a X-O Manowar film was in development, so we'll have to wait and see!

In the comic books, Aric of Dacia was abducted by aliens in 5th-century Europe and took control of one of their greatest weapons, the X-O Manowar armor. Returning to Earth where centuries had passed due to time-space relativity, he found himself a barbarian in a "civilized" world, possessing the galaxy's most advanced weapon.

Ummm I very much want to see an X-O Manowar movie. He is a great, great character. But they sure aren’t exactly attaching the greatest acting talent to these Valiant superheroes. Potential box office draws though I guess. One could easily see Vin Diesel and John Cena selling some tickets overseas.

He'd be perfect for Hyperion.

Doubt there's much to it. Cena routinely posts random pics and deliberately posts stuff to troll fans

He's just putting feelers out there, I guess.
Though, he should try to avoid following Vin Diesel around. First he's Dom's brother (?) in F&F. Now, he wants to follow up Bloodshot, starring Vin Diesel.

@Battabing - If I was trying to be an actor and I had limited acting ability Vin Diesel is exactly who I would be trying to emulate.
Battabing
Battabing - 4/9/2020, 8:27 AM
@TheUnworthyThor - Emulate him all you want, but stop walking in his shadow. It doesn't help to be known as Vin Diesel 2.0.
TheUnworthyThor
TheUnworthyThor - 4/9/2020, 8:48 AM
@Battabing - I doubt a guy worth tens of million who is already one of the most famous wrestlers of all time is all that concerned with being thought of as Vin Diesel 2.0.
Battabing
Battabing - 4/9/2020, 8:51 AM
@TheUnworthyThor - I bet if you asked him, he wouldn't be that accommodating of the idea.
TheUnworthyThor
TheUnworthyThor - 4/9/2020, 9:08 AM
@Battabing - I don’t know why you would think that. I bet most actors and most wrestlers would give their left nut to be Vin Diesel. And I doubt if John Cena were to play X-O Manowar that would mean people would look at him like Vin Diesel Jr. X-O Manowar is the Superman of the universe. It’s the exact kind of role you would want if you were wanting to outshine Vin Diesel.

Bet this is like when he posted Doctor Manhattan and Watchmen pictures and everyone was speculating he was going to be him.
