Is THE SUICIDE SQUAD Star John Cena Teasing A Big Screen Adaptation Of X-O MANOWAR?

WWE Superstar & Hollywood actor John Cena enjoys teasing fans on his Instagram account, but a recent post has people wondering if the F9 star could be about to play X-O Manowar in a live-action adaptation.

It seems WWE Superstar turned Hollywood actor John Cena is a fan of Valiant's X-O Manowaras he recently used Instagram to share some artwork from the comic book series.

This came shortly after his memorable "Firefly Fun House" match at WrestleMania, and it would certainly be a fitting role for Cena after wrapping filming on the likes of The Suicide Squad and F9! He notes in his Instagram bio, "Welcome to my Instagram. These images will be posted without explanation, for your interpretation. Enjoy."

With that in mind, we can't say for sure whether X-O Manowar is a role Cena is in talks for or one he's just interested in. But with his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel starring in Bloodshot, it would make sense, and that's a crossover studios bosses likely believe would be a big draw (given the critical response to Bloodshot, though, we're not so sure).

Former Valiant publisher Dinesh Shamdasani (and current Bloodshot film producer) has previously said that a X-O Manowar film was in development, so we'll have to wait and see!

In the comic books, Aric of Dacia was abducted by aliens in 5th-century Europe and took control of one of their greatest weapons, the X-O Manowar armor. Returning to Earth where centuries had passed due to time-space relativity, he found himself a barbarian in a "civilized" world, possessing the galaxy's most advanced weapon.
