His head does look massive in the shot. They need to shorten the neck just a little and shift his head to the left a bit.

Did any of ya'll catch skinny-Steve saying "Just give me a chance" in the ET footage? I was totally not expecting that kind of delivery from Chris. My heart broke for Steve at that exact moment.

They are REALLY hyping up this movie, way more than Thor or Iron Man - sneak peeks for the freaking trailer?! Let's hope it lives up to our expectations!

wow - we seem to be being fed the trailer in clips of about 4 seconds.

I reckon by the end of the year I should have got hold of a whole 2 minutes!

yeah I will have to agree, his head does look a little massive for the body and it's giving me a bobble-head effect. The look of the film seems good so far though

The CG looks good for skinny steve rogers, although the head looks a bit big, but I guess they can work on that a bit more. Can't wait for it though.

They did a fanatstic job for Skinny Steve.

@Avalanche- Probably because Steve is supposed to be skinny before he gets the serum, and the effects have been perfectly fine.
SanDevil77
SanDevil77 - 3/23/2011, 9:53 AM
ill take any cap footage i can get but 4 seconds only makes me hungrier for more...which is what paramount is strivin for.
TheAmarilloBlack
TheAmarilloBlack - 3/23/2011, 9:54 AM
Those skinny Steve effects are...AWESOME. How can you whiners say those effects suck when there are actual people with huge heads and tiny bodies (Jennifer Hudson, Justin Bieber, Jay Chou) walking around everyday without special effects?!

Steve looks great, pre-serum, post-serum, in uniform, in costume, on ice, etc! Just frickin' be patient and quit nitpicking seconds long clips.

That being said, MARVEL, quit teasing and show us ya moves! My socks are waiting to be knocked off!

@ Avalanche731

I disagree greatly. From what we've seen, the efects of making him smaller and frailer seem fine. I think they've done a good job in keeping it realistic. Its better than Green Lantern anyway.
Dont know what you people want...nothings ever going to be good enough...

gtwizzy - 3/23/2011, 9:59 AM
paramount should stop teasing and release the full trailer already!

@Avalanche "I have never seen such a coordinated effort to excuse such incompetence."

G.I. Joe: ROC, Dragonball: Evolution, Superman Returns

Look harder.

It just doesn't look right. His head is way too big for his body. Hopefully pre-serum Steve doesn't last long, because I'll have a hard time looking at that. Just distracting. But everything else about this movie looks pretty good. Still not sold on it yet, though. GL & Thor have got me way psyched. :D
WingPow
WingPow - 3/23/2011, 10:01 AM
Yes- It's ridiculous how they are managing the release of the trailer.

I mean really, in segments? That's ridiculous.

Outside of that, from what I've seen, it LOOKS great. I say looks, because that's all we know about it. Johnston's movies always look good anyways. The guys an artist.

The big test will be the story and the character development. We won't know this until it comes out.
WingPow
WingPow - 3/23/2011, 10:03 AM
@vermillion

The CGI is fine. Stop whining.

Human beings have different size heads based on the body size. The only solution would've been to find a larger weakling Steve Rogers which would reduce the drama of the transformation.

It's every bit as good, if not better than what we saw in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
GUNSMITH
GUNSMITH - 3/23/2011, 10:04 AM
UGH TOO BRIEF TOO BRIEF!! (BUT THATS FREAKING SMART..IF I SAW EVERYTHING I'D HAVE SEEN EVERYTHING,,GOOD MARKETING)..BY THE WAY THE CGI SPLICING TECHNIQUE IS WAY MORE CLEANER LOOKING THAN BENJAMIN BUTTON HANDS DOWN..SEAMLESS.

...AND YOUR PASTING HIS FACE FROM THIS, HEY THATS GOOD SPLICING CGI..

Starlight

MY EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS MOVIE ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOO HIGH !!!
WingPow
WingPow - 3/23/2011, 10:09 AM
@GUNSMITH

How is that good marketing? So if I show you a movie in 3 minute segments everyday over the course of the month, do you think you're going to appreciate the movie as much once you see it in full?

No. It's not smart marketing, it's illogical. Don't take my word for it though. Just look back at the history of movie trailers and you'll get your answer as to the most effective release format.
GUNSMITH

WING@ TO EACH HIS OWN..BUT IT JUST MAKES ME WANNA SEE IT MORE NOT GETTING ENOUGH.
WingPow
WingPow - 3/23/2011, 10:11 AM
They should release the trailer in full without all of these clips. Otherwise, they completely nullify the "shock and awe" factor. "Shock and awe" is what gets the internet riled up, social media buzzing and viral marketing at full spin.

I do promotion professionally. I do not agree with this strategy.
RedeyeJedi
RedeyeJedi - 3/23/2011, 10:12 AM
TRAILER NOW! Also, I have no opinion of a 4 to 6 second clip.
sexfoodcomics
sexfoodcomics - 3/23/2011, 10:13 AM
The only thing weird about skinny steve is how they did his neck. It needs to be a little thicker and look like it attaches below his ear instead of his chin.
TheAmarilloBlack
TheAmarilloBlack - 3/23/2011, 10:13 AM
@GUNSMITH
WORD.

WingPow
WingPow - 3/23/2011, 10:14 AM
@GUNSMITH

Yeah. I understand. Then you'll see the trailer and be under whelmed because you saw all of it already. Only it was broken down into 3 second clips. It will not have the same effect.

These are like spoilers for the actual trailer. What's the point? It's a trailer! Shock and awe factor here.

Get your viral marketing initiatives in check. Then lay dormant for a few weeks so as to not steal Thor's thunder (no pun intended).. and then ride the wake of Thor and release a blitz of clips, trailers (like The Dark Knight) and get some digital/viral campaigns going to increase hype for the movie.
