Anthony Mackie Teases CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Script As 'Marvel's Most Stupendous Ride'

Anthony Mackie, the Falcon, is on a roll with talking up the highly-anticipated follow-up to Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron, now praising the latest Civil War script.

While still making the rounds for his new drama film, Black or White, Anthony Mackie has teased his return as Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, this time during an interview with Collider as well as an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. When the former news outlet had asked about Captain America: Civil War, Mackie revealed that he had read the latest draft by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. "Let’s just say it’s a wing-ding-doozy of a time," he said. "The great thing about it is, after seeing Avengers I joked and said Captain America 2 was Avengers 1.5. Now with Avengers 2 coming out… Captain America 3 is so far beyond Avengers 2.5 and onto the realm of Avengers 3.8. It’s by far one of the most stupendous rides Marvel has put together."

Meanwhile, during his chat with Jimmy Fallon, Anthony Mackie had joked that losing his wings in Captain America: The Winter Soldier couldn't make Marvel get rid of him that easy. "[if] I got one wing, I'm coming back," he said of returning for Captain America: Civil War. For the full interview, in which Mackie recalls seeing kids dressed as the Falcon for Halloween as well as the time he was accused of "dafacing" some 'Falcon' posters at an arts and crafts store, watch the video below!

Directed by Joe & Anthony Russo, Captain America: Civil War stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chadwick Boseman, Frank Grillo, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie & Daniel Brühl, with appearances by Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson expected. The film opens May 6, 2016

I still think I would have prefered the 3rd Cap movie to be... something smaller.

Marvel should open Disney's unlimited checkbook and buy back Spidey's rights. Then have Tobey come back as Spider-Man in Civil War.

There would be a lot of great chemistry between Tobey and RDJ.

I am not convinced about Civil War.

Stupendous?

More like pretend-ous.

I'm sure Mackie can count. I think it's just a case of Mackie being Mackie. He's got a crazy personality with a weird sense of humor haha. Gives off the impression of being a great guy.

And seriously, I'd like to actually get through Age of Ultron before I start anticipating Civil War! But I guess having so many events to look forward to is a pretty nice problem to have haha
