The new five years or so are going to be epic. We have a two part Justice League movie and the two part Avengers: Infinity War to look forward to, not to mention movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War. Those franchises colliding is never going to happen, but the following photo (via MTV News) and video will make you wish it was a possibility! 

The two appeared at the BATFAs last night, and were appropriately chosen to present an award together (Best Actress to Julianne Moore). Sadly, the show is light on humour, so they failed to point out just how cool it was to have these two standing side by side, but here it is for you to enjoy. Captain America v Superman: Age of Justice? One day. One day...ok, probably not.

that's because he did real workouts, not your standard hollywood "sexy" where you put on a bunch of muscle and then lose fat as fast as possible.

Cavill's superman workouts are healthy workouts that can be achieved through hard work, lots of carbs, healthy eating, hours at the gym, and supplements.

Henry really is looking kinda chubby there, but that can't really be fat can it? Don't think you can go from being so freaking ripped, to so noticeable chubby that quickly.

But... they're actors. They don't need real muscles to lift cars and tanks and so on. For the purpose of these roles, it really is just about appearance.

Superman should look like a beefy cut guy (which it seemed like Cavill did during filming), not a powerlifter.

Plus, once you take the foot off the pedal of really hardcore weight training, it's really easy to start gaining fat and end up looking like a buff Danny Devito.

A lot of it is the beard. The week/two weeks growth between Evans' and Cavill's beards can add like 20-30 pounds (visually).

I think Cavill's beard gives the impression of weight gsin. Photos from a few weeks back have him looking great.

I just want to say that its interesting that Cavill may have dropped of of his fitness regiment because he's not going to need to be in "Superman shape" again for probably a year or year and a half, whereas the Marvel guys have generally got to stay in roughly the same shape all the time for crossovers.

Christian Bale would have had a shit-fit with a Marvel contract.
