CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Easter Eggs - Six Things You Missed

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Easter Eggs - Six Things You Missed

The first Captain America: Civil War trailer tells us a lot more about the next long awaited Marvel project, with the inclusion of all sorts of Easter Eggs and perhaps even a Ms. Marvel nod. So why not delve a little deeper by taking a look at some things you may have missed...

Allow me to elaborate. Like all Marvel trailers, or any comic book movie trailer, the first look at Captain America: Civil War when broken down is littered with easter eggs, references, hints, nods, call backs and call forwards giving us insight into their best tent pole film. Whether it be similarities to the classic Civil War story line and potential looks into the future with some Death of Captain America nods thrown in for good measure, this trailer has it all. From the footage we can also roughly plot out the story which included the capture of Bucky, formally known as The Winter Soldier who ends up being one of the key driving forces in driving Steve Rogers and Tony Stark apart.

Not to mention we might be able to answer the question, why is War machine lying in the dirt with his arc reactor removed, what are the other catalyst events that lead to Civil War, how does Black Panther factor in (who looks awesome by the way), why the Avengers and squaring off in a Gernan airport and who are some of the hidden characters in the trailer including Agent 13,  Crossbones and Martin Freenans new character.

Of course there is also a stack of characters we don't see including Ant-man, Vision, Baron Zemo and probably the most anticipated, the new Spider-man. But maybe there are some Easter eggs that point to them that I've missed, so if so be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments!

If we lived in a world where that was a possibility, I'd probably die from simply seeing the trailer to that potential film.

I can tell Mr. Sunday Movies has been watching Rick and Morty and that kind of half-cocked switch-thoughts-on-the-fly monologue is really improving his once unbearable videos.

Great video, man. @KingPatel pointed out how Ant-Man was on Captain America's shoulder when Cap's team was standing behind him and the close-up was on Cap.

Wow, I thought that last BvS trailer looked awesome, but forget that this movie looks completely amazing, the previous relationship of Captain America and Iron Man makes it feel like it means so much more than two heroes who never met fighting.

I feel like the trailer did a great job of establishing this as a Cap movie, which is what people wanted. I feel as though it would be better as an avengers, just because here is seems like they're trying really hard to make tony an asshole. I mean "We have to do this this and that" "well what if..." "NO I WANT TO PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE" is how the cap/ironman dialogue basically went. But we've had 5 movies with tony as the hero. when i see iron man and bucky fighting, i'm rooting for iron man, even though they're trying to make him look like the asshole. Until the end, with the "so was I" line...

if this was an avengers movie it would have had to work to make both sides look right, perhaps a captain america teaser where iron man looks like the villain as well as an iron man teaser where cap looks like the villain. But here, because cap's name is in the title, we are supposed to care more for steve even though we had 5 movies rooting for tony...

This film will be Marvel's most emotional yet, I think.

Tony Stark is a guy living with the massive shadow of his father’s legacy, seeking posthumous approval after the years of not really knowing him.

And how does he seek that approval? By teaming up and becoming friends with the man that his father held in such high regard – Captain America. Cap is Tony’s last link to his father, and to lose him is to lose his father all over again.

Knowing that Cap is siding wth the man who killed his father (brainwashing aside), makes the betrayal sting all the more. It's a drastic surprise to have Cap conflicted between loyalty over the law. Iron Man is surprised that a soldier and a stand up guy like Cap would abandon responsibility. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds. The trailer was abd character dive as it was action heavy. I think the character moments outweighed the action; which is surprising.

Reminds me of T2.

It was a good trailer, but it was conflicted about whether or not we care about Tony, as well as some of the action for me, it just seemed a bit too shaky cam in parts. I never really cared for black panther, so i didn't orgasm upon seeing him

Definitely more invested in this series than the Cowl and Cape wearers du Jour over at DC. Just a lot more significant when you've seen the same actors for 5+ movies versus the dudes that have just stepped into the character's costumes. Maybe that'll change after Affleck and Cavill appear together 4-5 more times.
