Can you imagine how wonderful breakfast had to tasted today for Marvel and Disney studio executives after taking a peek at Captain America 2's monster box office numbers from this weekend? Let's keep the good times rolling with some fantastic artwork. Below, you'll find Captain America: The Winter Soldier concept art that was created by conceptual illustrator Jamie Rama, and excerpt from his interview with Film Sketchr. Jamie, who has worked on previous comic book movies like, X-Men: First Class and The Dark Knight, tells Film Sketchr the Helicarrier hangar was a bit of a challenge to design.
Film Sketchr: Was there a part of the concept design that you remember working on the most? JR: Probably the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier ship hangar. Lots of complexity and depth happening in this set. We did a ton of versions for what this space might look like and there were a lot of people involved which often times happens with a set where there is significant visual effects set extension. My job is basically just make it look cool even on the 68th iteration.

"Industrial Light & Magic was tasked with updating the helicarriers in the new film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. FXguide's Mike Seymour talks to the visual effects company to find out what new details were added to the S.H.I.E.L.D. aircrafts, and how the effects team created a digital modeling environment for the epic helicarrier crash scene." - WIRED
After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier. Based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941, Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is produced by Kevin Feige, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, and stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp and Hayley Atwell, with Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

Anyways, this concept art is extremely well done, and Cap 2 was an amazing film.

If you ever google 'Sci-Fi Concept art' it gives you some really amazing images. Now imagine if a film based off the image itself was made. I mean, imagine if we got a film based off the idea of this image?

This is one of my all time favorites, but imagine if we got a film adapted around this character?

Whoever he is, he looks like a badass, and I would go see his film.

I think they should keep Falcon's costume the way it was. That white and red costume he's got on Avengers Assemble might not look as good for the MCU version of Falcon. However, I would definitely like to see Falcon sporting some "borrowed" Stark tech for the next wing-suit he gets :)

Did anyone see the homage to pulp fiction on the tombstone.?

They start a group of like minded people, and proceed to leave actual comments about story, the future, even the MCU as a whole. Yet they're the ones people want to try and call stupid?

They're doing it right. Learn from them.

My top 3 eggs that I can recall right now.
1. Stephen Strange
2.Pulp Fiction quote
3.Community reference

It's been said before but I felt like other than the Iron Man statements, this movie did the absolute best so far with including meaningful winks and about the MCU. Truly felt connected for a reason.

Good stuff.

I loved the Cap exhibit at the museum. And Gary Sinise narrating was a nice touch.

"But you ain't got no legs, Lieutenant Dan."

"Yes, I know that. You wrote me a letter, ya idiot."

Hehe, Christ, I love that f*cking movie.
