Marvel Studios made the announcement last month that they're returning to Cleveland, Ohio, to commence principal photography for their forthcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier movie. While also expected to shoot partly in Washington, DC and New Mexico, don't expect to the actual movie title to be used once filming does actually start next year, in March.
And like all major productions, and Marvel's past flicks, a temporary name or production title will be used to disguise The Winter Soldier's development. And according to Feature Film Casting, whose legitimacy seems dependable only when it comes to new productions starting out, “Freezerburn” has been decided for the Captain America sequel's working title. Special thanks to @Jasper_UTF.
Seemingly an offhand nod to the film's subtitle, “Freezerburn” follows title ruses like Thor: The Dark World's “Thursday Mourning,” Iron Man 3's “Caged Heat,” Marvel's The Avengers's “Group Hug,” and the original Captain America movie's “Frostbite.” Anyhow, the film's cast was recently rounded out by End of Watch actor Frank Grillo, whose screen test “made the other actors look like extras,” according to ‘a friend of a friend’ of The A-Team director, Joe Carnahan.
Described as a political thriller, Marvel Studios’ “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where the highly anticipated film “Marvel’s The Avengers” leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D, and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world. Starring Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Cobie Smulders with Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and is based on Marvel's classic Super Hero Captain America, who first appeared on the pages of “Captain America Comics” (#1) in March, 1941. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is presented by Marvel Studios. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso & Stan Lee are executive producers. The film releases August 1, 2014, & is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
