Robert Redford is probably one of the best casting decisions in recent memory. That's an inspired casting right up there with the great casting of Henry Cavill as Superman, Ledgers Joker, Oldmans Gordon, and Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark. I'm looking forward to Fury, Redford, and Bucky Barnes. Bring it on!

The people complaining about the hellicarrier crashing are hilarious considering it didn't crash in the Avengers. And also because it'd be very true to the comics if it did crash all the time, that said this will be the first.

What's all this noise about the helicarrier being destroyed in Marvel movies? It was DAMAGED in The Avengers but not destroyed. And you can see that there are at least two being built, who says the one that goes down is THE helicarrier and not a new one someone is trying to steal?

Please don't [frick] up Winter Soldier. He is iconic. Have him have an, if not most important role in this movie next to Cap. The movie should open up with a continuation scene of him falling off the film.

beane2099 - 10/24/2013, 3:20 PM
If this were the comics I'd agree with the comment about a crashing hellicarier being cliche. After all it just isn't a Marvel event if a hellicarier doesn't go down. A hellicarier crashes everyday in Marvel Comics. People be like "oh hey a helicarrier is going down; that's new."

But this is the movie universe so personally I'm making some allowances for that sort of thing. The movie audience hasn't seen that happen yet. In Avengers it only almost happened. And we haven't seen a hellicarrier in any other Marvel movies so I don't see the big deal.

Fastestmanalive - 10/24/2013, 6:25 PM
Im excited and all since Cap is one of my favorites and CA TFA is one of my favorite CBM's, but.....

IM3 Looked really intense and serious and you all know what we got instead. Thor TDW is called the DARK world and also looks intense and serious from the trailer and from the early reviews it seems like were going to get another laugh fest.

So when I see this trailer it looks good and all but so far Marvels track record for serious, gritty, intense movies has been a wash out.

Still have hope but with a huge expectancy for disappointment.

Why is anyone talking about IM3 on this thread? Different Avenger, different movie. The trailer was great. Less than 6 months.

Ok as fans we need to tell Marvel to stop putting so much humor in their movies.

It's like after avengers, they are trying to replicate that Joss Whedon humor everywhere and sometimes it's just not called for. RDJ can be serious and humorous but IRON MAN 3 was just over the top and now we have THOR which is allegedly has humor out of place.. If Marvel keeps this up and doesn't better themselves then they will fall; something I do not want to see.

It's just a shame that the big dogs can't see that they're slightly messing it up and how much more solid their movies could be if they just tweaked them and didn't think about how everything needs to be 'funnnny'.

Because of that, we have agents of shield (which mind you is getting slightly better)
but still comes off sooo cheesy.

The first IRON MAN and AVENGERS had it perfect, but IRON MAN is probably the best Marvel movie to date, just because it had good cinematography, a great script and character! Might've not had the best fight scene, but it was good enough.

Avengers IMO didn't have a good enough D.O.P. So it didn't look that tasteful, and Whedon has funny angles he uses.

Otherwise yeah.

Rant OVER.

Do the right thing, tell Marvel they are [frick]ing it up.

Boom.
