A user on the SuperHeroHype Forums has seemingly discovered some information about what the contents of the trailer pack with Transformers: Dark of the Moon will and will not contain. While it looks likely that we'll be seeing new trailers for Captain America: The First Avenger and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, the rumoured 3D teaser for The Amazing Spider-Man is looking slightly less likely.

-Captain America (new trailer). This is embargoed until this weekend. It will probably start turning up on other actioners this coming weekend before TF3 releases, but it can be considered highly likely to appear in front of Transformers shows.

-Mission Impossible 4. I don't know the details yet. We're expecting a short teaser, but Paramount will be supplying it with the Transformers feature and have insisted that it be played.

-The Amazing Spider-Man trailer that was getting prepared in time for Dark of the Moon will not be ready. Word is that some effects shots had not been completed in time.

they should release the captain america trailer tomorrow exactly one month before the films release.

you'll probably see spider-man footage at comic con.

Ha ha, so the crappy GL trailer has scared everyone from showing stuff too early. First Cap, now Spidey. At least we'll get Cap before TF3. It'll be the biggest film of the summer so a lot of people will get to see Cap.

I'd really LIKE to get over how crappy the Spider-Man costume is but I just can't seem to. I look at it and I hate it. I wonder why some idiot just had to put his/her "own twist" on something so iconic, if not revered. Guess what? The designer's "own twist" sucks too! It's not even like it's good.

Well, at least we're getting a new Cap trailer. And I guess MI:4. I thought Tom Cruise retired that franchise.

I figured that Transformers 3 would be the theatrical premiere of the new Cap trailer when it didn't show up with Green Lantern. TF and Cap are both Paramount releases, after all, and 3-D affairs.

As for Spider-man, that doesn't rule out the trailer being ready sometime this summer if they're just a little behind in getting it ready. Harry Potter or Cap would both be good, 3-D releases to pair it with if they only need a few extra weeks.

I am okay with this. This tells us, like Brashlight pointed out, that other studios are learning from their mistakes and do not want to disappoint with your first glimpse of a character. That also tells us that the production team is dedicated to making the best possible movie they can and respect the project they are working on.

yep, after green lantern's disasterous first trailer spidey has decided to hold off until the effects are finished. sensible, green lantern were STUPID showing unfinished effects. you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Why is marvel/paramount playing coy with Cap TFA like paramount did it with Super 8.In case of super 8 it was justified but why are they showing nothing of Cap TFA?even the trailer 2 as described by many shows nothing new except few new cliched/generic scenes.Atleast show me that gets me pumped up and let the anticipation swell.Cap TFA is no Transformers or Harry potter ,it needs aggressive marketing none like what is stupid and lazy Marvel has done so far.Even rise of apes that comes 2 weeks later has 3 trailers up online.Too liitle now,too late tomorrow.

Don't judge the forums too harshly. I myself used to provide real, proven scoops. Sometimes people get lucky enough to come across good info. This sounds plausible to me. It's a shame that we won't get a look at Spider-Man for awhile.

No need to worry guys. I know our patience is running thin, but at least we haven't seen too much of the movie in the trailers like other previous movies. The less the better. It'll be funny if the trailer was put in front of Cars 2 since it's Disney.
