Frank Grillo Teases Plans For Crossbones, Paul Giamatti Calls Rhino Suit "Updated"

Frank Grillo Captain America The Winter Soldier

Speaking to Crave Online, Frank Grillo spoke about his budding film career and of course that conversation touched on his role as Crossbones in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Talking about fight scenes with Jason Statham in Homefront, Grillo said it was comparable to some of the fight scenes he filmed for Winter Soldier. "I did. I took a couple. I think he took a couple. It’s funny, because I just had this experience on Captain America, once you’re fighting, once you get a couple guys who are fighting, it’s pretty hard to hold back and make it real. So you’ve got to know going into it that you’re going to take a couple of lumps." Grillo declined to speak about any specifics on his role but he did share, "It’s an origin film. You meet people who are going to be around for a while, so they introduce the characters. It’s almost like it’s a series. It’s fun. I can’t say very much about it because Marvel’s very strict about what you’re allowed to say. The movie, we’ve seen bits of it, and it is spectacular. They do actually [have plans for Brock Rumlow in future movies]. We’ll see what happens. We’ll see if the fans respond to Brock and how it goes." Grillo went on to add that whatever those plans may be, it doesn't include a guest spot on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. anytime soon. Captain America: The Winter Soldier arrives in US theaters on April 4, 2014.

Paul Giamatti Amazing Spider-Man 2

Paul Giamatti spoke with The Belfast Telegraph about his role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Giamatti shared, "In the comic books of old, [Rhino] had a suit on that made him look like a rhino and it made him super strong. If there was a bank vault, he could butt through it with his head but he wasn't very smart." Giamatti went on to add that his suit in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is not like that early comic book version. "[In the film] it's updated now, I have a particular type of suit but I don't think I'm supposed to talk about it. He's a Russian mobster [in the movie] because he's a Russian guy in the comic books." Sony recently announced they would aggressively be pursuing spinoffs in the Spider-Man franchise with an eye towards expanding the comapny's television endeavors. Could those plans involve Giamatti's Rhino in some capacity? The Amazing Spider-Man 2 arrives in US theaters on May 2, 2014.
