The Captain America: The First Avenger screenwriters have expressed interest in introducing many different villains in the planned sequel (most recently MODOK) but which would you most like to see? How about bringing back the Red Skull and Arnim Zola? Is now the right time to introduce the Winter Soldier, or would you rather someone we've never seen before like Baron Zemo or Master Man? Well, here are a list of some of Cap's best known foes, so be sure to cast your vote and share your thoughts below!

I would be very interested to see a screen adaptation of Winter Solider. Bring back Bucky as a villain and drama/tension shall ensue! :)

IMO the sequel should be split - between a WWII story, and a modern story, that connect even after 70+ years.

Baron Zemo OR MODOK for the WWII portion

Winter Soldier is WITHOUT A DOUBT the way to go - for a modern day portion.

Bucky's already an established character, and he had the classic "he died, but we didn't actually see him die" deaths. - of course they're going to use him.

Winter soldier would make for a much more personal battle. Cap would be fighting his best friend, and not a Nazi.

Zemo/Winter Soldier story set in WWII, turn that 2 minute war montage into a 2-hour film! Huge Steve/Bucky build. Red Skull (H.Y.D.R.A.)/Crossbones story set in modern times. More Red Skull build

Zemo with Batroc, Crossbones, Sin and Serpent Squad working by his side (okay, that might be too much; but hey, that will make the Masters of Evil story line easy to traslate into Avengers 2).

I was probably readin' Captain America before your fathers were born....

Ahhhh....They have to be careful not to sort out a redundant type story....With Zemo/AIM or something similar....Too close to the Skull/Hydra storyline...

I'm all for Zemo though....And he's usually hanging out in South America. Twist that around, and for a present day Nazi touch, bring in the Sleepers.

Zemo would be a great choice as you could have Heinrich during WWII and Helmut in the present day. I would save winter soldier for the third movie but maybe set some plot points in the second. I would love to see the Taskmaster and Batroc ze Leaper as goons working for Zemo.

Lol, I'm FAR from being a young whippersnapper and I think Winter Soldier was a great character creation. I know who Batroc is, I just don't think he's nearly as interesting. Just my opinion.

There's a tonne of stuff they could use for villians, just have to find the most interesting ones.

how are they gonna do a cap 2? will it take place after the avengers cause it doesnt make sense any other way. the first movie left no room for a sequal in ww2 he was captain america for like 2 weeks and then got frozen.

@sbdc1939 Cap's adventures in WWII take place over years. The writers have even stated they purposely left room to tell his other adventures during that period. I second the earlier poster's idea of a half 40s/ half present day film, with a single plotline connected over 70 years.
