The People's Choice Awards are on January 11, 2012 with numerous categories to be voted on. One of the categories that pertains to this site is the Favorite Movie Superhero category. The nominees have been selected and features mostly Marvel heroes. Captain America himself Chris Evans has gotten a nomination along with his
Avenger co-star Chris Hemsworth, who played the title character in this Summer's blockbuster
Thor. James McAvoy is also nominated for his work in
X-Men: First Class. Joining McAvoy is the only female nominee with Jennifer Lawrence getting the nod for her portrayal as Mystique. The surprise nominee of the group is Ryan Reynolds, who represents the only DC character in the group, as
Green Lantern.
