Talking to MTV Splash Page, Django Unchained star Samuel L. Jackson has revealed that he is still waiting to hear from Joss Whedon about a possible appearance as 'Nick Fury' in Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D. "I don't know. I keep hearing about it, and I haven't talked to Joss about it. But in my mind, I would tend to think that he would, if nothing else, be like Charlie in 'Charlie's Angels.' At least be the voice!" Well, that's an idea! However, the actor went on to once again confirm that we should expect to next see him with a much larger role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. "It's a full-on role, from the original script that I read. It's a full-on S.H.I.E.L.D. operation in 'Captain America. But I don't know — I'm meeting with the directors this week to see what happens." What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

I wouldn't want him in every episode, but yeah I think every once in a while would be awesome! Like if things got really bad, Fury would have to step in.

I'm not really sure I even care about the TV show, the movies are what's important in my opinion.

can you imagine all the background easter eggs in the tv show, would be shocked if there was not something in the background on a regular basis about the MCU, reports on villians, heroes, etc.

Well Marvel owns all the TV rights to it's characters if i'm correct, though i think it'd be silly for them to have a MCU show and put Wolverine in, for example, in some form.

@fettastic: What makes you think some of those characters can't be introduced in a SHIELD show?

@Ghaleonausa
That's probably the main reason I'm excited for this show.
Hope they
1. Get REAL actors. Not shitty nobody TV actors
2. Spend some $$$ on good special effects. The one thing I noticed about that Mockingbird lane trailer was the effects were pretty good for a TV show.

I can't wait for CA:TWS! That sounds great! Nick Fury is going to be keeping Cap busy in the sequel.

I hope Samuel L. Jackson is involved with the TV show; more than a voice or debriefing the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents through video communications.

Would make sense...he is a busy (cough cough....expensive) man. Bring him in one day, do a bunch of short takes, space them out over the season.. maybe an appears on finale of season 1.

More curious about if this is the first attempt at a transition to a very street level MCU. I want Marvel Knights and/or Heroes for Hire...Since marvel has Blade, Punisher, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Moon Knight...well they all feel like tales that should be told on a different level then Thor, Cap/SHIELD or even upcoming stuff like Doc Strange (fingers crossed)

Am I the only one that would love it if he just went away.. I liked him in pulp fiction and a few others but now he seems like he's just an attention getting loud mouth who likes to be cool guy all the time.. I mean I heard he wants to come back in Star Wars... does anyone remember how AWFUL he was in that.... So many other great actors that could play Fury..
