I love Dodson's art, he's one of the rare artists that draw characters fairly realistically, hope he does more DC stuff

Dodson makes almost anything look good. It's easy with the new Superman suit though. This is the best Kal-el has ever looked.

Long live the new 52.

Did we really need to see Superman as a baby?

The real is EVERYTHING DC DID WITH SUPERMAN IN THIS [frick]ING NEW 52 WAS SHIT! Morrisson made the best of all Supes titles, but still was pure trash if compared with All-Star Superman!

Get rid of that [frick]ing collar, adjust his cape (that inverted triagule is awful) and write some good stories, that's all we need!

Love the suit minus the preist collar. Would really love for them to take that off.

I really like that they make it look like old Clark just with a new haircut and suit.

But, gotta say, the suit looks much better here than it usually does. No armor feel, no cumbersome boots. Lose the collar and the weird sleeves and make it look like not an armor and it will look much better

Terry and Rachel Dodson are amazing!! I'm so hoping for more DC Variants from them.. Hell more art from them period!

You mean stuff it back in the dark ages like it was before the New 52.

To Hell with that.

The High Collar gives Supes a sense of mutha[frick]in Authority. The retarded circus man "neck ring" that he had before looked shit. All of you babies need to grow up and accept change. You're entitled to not like it, sure. But stop asking for something worse!
sameoldthing
sameoldthing - 1/24/2013, 8:28 AM
@Getsuga
Your opinion is worthless..the collar is weak & should be removed.
rbfn04
rbfn04 - 1/24/2013, 12:58 PM
@LordHuck nope, use something that makes sense with a character that never sees himself as an authority figure.

@Getsuga you mean, worst than every character wearing high collar? Worst than an armor with cumbersome boots? Worst than Superman not being an authoroty figure? It makes sense for GL por Aquaman, not Superman.
LordHuck
LordHuck - 1/24/2013, 10:11 PM
^^^ Cumbersome? Cumbersome boots... The guy can lift a million tons. Wearing boots that aren't skin tight socks, wont be cumbersome for him.

The character is brand new after the new 52 re-imagining, You're just basing the authority crap on the old Superman.

The Collar looks great, better than the weird no collar 1st century roman tunic collar he wore in the past.
rbfn04
rbfn04 - 1/25/2013, 1:11 PM
@LordHuck still cumbersome. Comics is a visual medium, after all.

So, everyone and their mommas wear high collars in DCnU? And Superman is gonna be a Supercop type figure? Nothing to do with good ol humble Clark? And you guys think its cool? ROFL
LordHuck
LordHuck - 1/25/2013, 3:33 PM
You don't have any idea what you're talking about. New 52 Superman has never been drawn in a comic with "Cumbersome boots" he has been drawn with boots, instead of socks with soles. They don't draw him like a 90's Cable.

 photo 2653109-can_zpsce267192.png

YES. Clark has always been the worst and most boring part about Superman.

No one cares what your ilk thinks anymore rbfn04. The old style Superman was played out.
