3. Marvel's Most Wanted--What's Wrong With That?
When news broke out that ABC had ordered a pilot for a show based on Mockingbird and her ex-husband Lance Hunter, people immediately started bitching. "This is stupid" and "Why would we want this?" were common comments I saw below the article. My question would be, "Why wouldn't you want this?"
These two characters were arguably the best two additions to season two of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and have an ever-changing dynamic of love and hate. A show based on these two interesting characters would not only give us an opportunity to see more of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it would give us more of a focus on their quite hilarious relationship. It's like if Mr. And Mrs. Smith was a TV show.
Back when Marvel was developing a show based soley on Mockingbird, fans everywhere were excited. It seems that putting Hunter in there is what is throwing people for a loop. I can't wrap my head around this. Hunter is basically the secret-agent-Deadpool of the show, offering comic relief, badass action scenes and [frick]ing loyalty. I want to see more of this guy, and it only makes sense to see his dynamic continue to change and grow with the love of his life by his side.
2. What Is So Wrong With Black Leather?
People started bitching about this right here. First off, we can't even see the full costume, but here's the thing: IT STILL LOOKS COOL.
I have never been able to grasp why people hate the costumes so much in the X-Men films. YES, I do think it's long past time to embrace the costumes of the comics, especially after the more outrageous stuff has been proven to work on film with characters like Captain America and Thor. But these costumes are not at all distracting from the film to the point where I can't enjoy it.
Why on God's green earth is it such a big deal?
1. Why Is Iron Man 2 Such A Bad Film?
Out of all three questions, this is the one I've wrestled most with, and the one I probably won't be able to accept more than anything. This is not a bad film, I refuse it. Was Mickey Rourke's Whiplash wasted? Sure, we could've used more time with him, but he was a good villain. Well acted, cool looking action, and we clearly understood his vendetta against Iron Man. Actually, every actor in this performed top knotch. Sam Rockwell was funny as Justin Hammer, Scarlett Johansson debuted as Black Widow, and Robert Downey Jr. and Gwenyth Paltrow had amazing chemistry as Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. So we can't complain about the acting here.
While some complain about S.H.I.E.L.D.'s presence, it makes perfect sense to me. They were paying special attention to Stark because of the Avenger Initative and the fact that he was, well, dying. Besides, we got to truly spend time with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. became firmly established for general audiences.
The movie is well-paced, with an appropriate balance between the humor and the stakes. The movie is well acted, the CGI is great, with plenty of NON-DISTRACTING MCU Easter eggs and emotional moments to boot. What the bloody hell do you guys have against this movie?!
That's my time guys. Thanks for reading, and give me shit in the comment section below!
