Marvel Cosmic writer Andy Lanning speaks with SCI=FI Now and expresses his desire for a Nova movie saying , "Having one film based on your work is a once in a lifetime happening you dream of, having two would probably have me dancing like Snoopy on crack!"  He also goes on to say how happy he is with Marvel Studios Take on the Guardians of the galaxy, "I love the whole thing; because they have really nailed the tone and feel of the comic-book. But, seeing Rocket and Groot in action will never fail to make me whimper with joy!"

So would you guys love to see a Nova movie? I know I would.

Absolutely not we have too much on our plate already, we have black panther and doctor strange movies to think about not to mention the sequel to the amazing Captain America the Winter Soldier, enough with this you silly jive turkey

Kurne I think they're going for Novas that are de-powered a bit. Although they will I think have Richard Rider become the Nova Prime and have the huge amount of power he has in the comics.

This way I think they'll show why Richard is more special than the other Novas. At least that's the way I think they are thinking.

Of course I could be totally wrong but that's probably the gist of what they are doing.

I would love a Nova flick! Very underrated character! Of course, I would like Doctor Strange and Black Panther first.

We're already going to be introduced to Rhomann Dey in GOTG. Maybe have a Nova film start with the destruction of Xandar, and have Dey travel to Earth where he transfers his power to Rich.

GOTG will open the door for all things cosmic...IF its a success. I'd love for Marvel to do a Nova movie even if its just to show Warner Bros how a Green Lantern movie SHOULD have been done.

Whether ya like it some of these films or not it's an amazing time to be a movie/comic/toy fanboy/girl.
You have:
-Capt. America 2
-Amazing Spider-Man 2
-Guardians Of The Galaxy
-X-Men:DOFP
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
-Transformers 4
-Godzilla
Just to name what's recent & coming soon..more is in the works as we speak.
It's a friggin' golden age & with luck the majority of it all will be great.

Marvel Studios could introduce (or hint) Nova in Guardians of the Galaxy and then treat his solo movie as kind of a sequel to GotG.
