Awesome artwork, AND most importantly? At least a few month break from the character before they bring him back with his healing factor!!! Party time!

People have this crazy rumor spreading that Marvel cancels and kills characters that have movies coming out with opposing studios. The funny thing is Marvel has a long standing history of canceling titles when the movie is in development. They did it with GOTG.

As nice as those covers are I'm finding it hard to take this too seriously obviously these days death isn't as big a factor in Marvel comics but Wolverine of all characters being killed off yes I see the reason as it'll bring in readers but he also holds a lot of readers so Marvel could suffer from this

@Alfredo27

You use RT for your argument that DoFP is better than Cap 2, yet IM3 (one of the "worst movies" you've ever seen) is higher than The Wolverine.

Also, if Marvel was trying to lessen Wolverine's popularity, why are developing a new cartoon for him.

Try harder next time.

@Alfredo

Iron Man 3 is the best of the trilogy, and Thor 2 was a lot of fun. Neither are better than the Wolverine or DOFP. Still haven't seen Cap2 though...

Wow to issue #4 cover. I bet Death will bring him back even stronger. It was interesting how she referred to him still being a baby even though he felt himself to be old and ancient.

LOL! You will be labeled a blasphemer which such talk on this site. Do you not know that Marvel Studios can do no wrong.......but to be serious I agree with you on IM3. As far as Thor 2, well it we meh, to me it was not great nor bad just right in the middle. To me the only cbms that really stand out as excellent are the following....

1. Batman (Tim Burton)

2. Batman Begins

3. The Dark Knight

4. Spiderman 2

5. Ironman

6. Blade 2

7. MOS

8. Wolverine

9. X Men DOFP

10. Avengers

OH yeah I would throw in the HULK movie, to me that movie was great and it is highly under rated.

Marvel has changed the future of their own future so much I don't think they remember which future is the future of futures and the present ties into which future set to which past. So I don't buy for a moment Wolverine won't be back and part of the future. Dude is just getting a much needed vacation is all.

@Alfredo

You have too much negativity. And you definitely haven't seen Catwoman or Elektra...since they're missing on your 'terrible CBM' list. I will outright laugh at lumping Thor2 and Iron Man3 in with Green Lantern and ROTSS...that's ludicrous.

But to each their own...and The Wolverine is [frick]ing fantastic. Still not sure if DOFP is better...it's a tough one.

@Joe
Not a bad list,I would shift that order some & I would have to have Cap 2 & the first Blade film.

If I think about it,Blade in the films is the best combatant in any CBM.
He would wipe the floor with Batman & Wolverine. Logan recovers quick but so can Blade.
Cap could hang for a bit but Blades vampire strength & speed is better than Caps & Blade is just plain a better martial artist.

Blade would beat Spidey's ass too,he's a brutal fighter & movie Parker isn't game for that battle.
Yes,Hulk-Thor-Iron Man-Superman have superior powers going toe to toe but I'm talking straight up fighting prowess.
Blade is the best.

They will wait, what, 3-4 months, just till all the third and fourth printings of the book sell out, and they'll release foil covers and special hologram limited editions for like $20 cover price, and inflate their value saying they are work $100 street price.....and then, once they've made a hundred million, they will bring him back with special foil covers and hologram limited editions and have 20 different cover versions for the collector who likes it in the butt.....and make another 100 million. Marvel has been doing this scam for so many years. I remember working in a comic store and people buying up all those different covers variants and then them being upset a few months later when they realized how worthless the books were because they overprinted and saturated the market and over-valued them. I get tired of the scams from Marvel. I'd rather they just concentrate on making good books and not on reboots and scams. DC too in the boat. We want more quality, less quantity.
