Do I even need to point out what's wrong with the art of Alpha? It looks like it was drawn with crayons.

Captain Marvel's art is just as shitty.

Alpha... just wow... Ramos on cover duty... Plati on internal art... that's some of the worst comic book art I've ever seen. They both suck.

Ramos is just disproportionate, elongated, goofy-looking cartoony shit, while Plati's just like weird jawlines, odd proportions, and eyebrows! Seriously! [frick]ing eyebrows everywhere!

When I read the line "Gray Ghost", all I could think of was the fictional character in the 90's Batman Animated TV series.

Big Time and X-Force art looks like crap. If that was my art, I'd erase it.

Yes what the hell is with the art of Alpha. I guess some may call it great but it looks like crap.

I think those Alpha previews don't do much justice to Plati's work, he did an awesome Thor in the 4th issue you guys should look into some of his other work.

Does anybody even care about Alpha? Was there anybody who demanded he get his own book? I don't see this character lasting for more than 5 years.

Great artists sometimes take their own lives. Shitty, low-functioning artists are employed to draw Alpha. One is a sign of inner torment. The other is an attempt to torment as many people as possible.

Worst thing about the art and crappy stories is the cover price. $2.99 to $3.99 for a regular issue. If anyone works in the comic industry or owns a shop you know that Diamond Comics supplies comics to the retail outlets and they release a order catalog called Previews. To read that hype they put on these comic books you would think each will be the holy grail of good art and excellent storytelling - then you get a that crappy Alpha type art and story and you feel duped and ripped off.

I remember when the old school New Mutants went from traditional art to the watercolor mess and lost readers. Then there was bad art packaged behind die cut covers and embossed glossy secret bagged comics. No wonder .50c bins at Comic Conventions are the biggest draw.

BTW - Love the new look of Venom/Spawn - anyone read the story - any good?
