Marvel’s latest “Next Big Thing” press conference will focus on the January-debuting new volume of Uncanny X-Force, from writer Sam Humphries and artist Ron Garney. Things haven't kicked off just yet, but below we have the first look at some interiors from issue #1, as well as some pretty awesome covers for the next couple of issues.

THE DARKEST CORNERS OF THE MUTANT UNIVERSE: EXPOSED! The X-Men: sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them. UNCANNY X-FORCE: charged to deal with situations the X-Men fear and hate! Psylocke and Storm lead a new team of outcasts and scoundrels, including fan-favorite Puck, the villainous Spiral, and the mysterious Cluster. The first adversary to strike out from the darkness? I'm really liking that art a lot. And I dig Bishop's look with the huge dreads and huge burly beard. This team looks very interesting.

Love it. Looks like another good showing from Marvel (stop getting me to buy your books). But Puck looks like a cross between a P.E. teacher and a retired village person. I'm just sayin'.

I love the art but...idk. As for as X-Men titles, I'm fine with All New X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, and Uncanny Avengers(pseudo X-Men title).

Man I miss Bishop as a good guy. I remember when he first showed up. He was so in awe of the Xmen. he just wanted to be good enough.

I love the new costumes. It'll be hard to top Remender's X-Force run. Good luck Humphries.

I would love to see Sprial going all close quarters with those swords. Teleporting all around slicing up about 20 dudes, can't wait.

So do they not color the artwork inside anymore? Is this because of the bad economy?

Marvel seems to be really be pushing the whole girl power thing lately, which is awesome!

I just wish this kick of theirs would translate into Marvel Studios doing a well done solo female superhero movie or something.

Could be cool. Like Puck's new look, and Storm sporting the Mohawk is always cool!!
