COMICS: The Twilight Of The Gods Arises In RAGNAROK #1

I know when you see the word Ragnarök, you instantly think of a possible name of Thor's third film. But this has nothing to do with Marvel's Thor or their phase three. But that certainly shouldn't stop you from hitting the jump and checking out Walter Simonson's Ragnarok #1

Ragnarök…the Twilight of the Gods in Norse mythology…the destruction of the Nine Worlds. And now, three hundred years later, the birth of vengeance. Walter Simonson returns to comics in a BIG way with an all-new series… and doing what he does best!

My wife and my children are dead. My brothers and sisters are dead. My parents are dead. The Great Enemies still live. But I swear on the shattered bones of my kinsmen… they will not live forever. I shall become… the storm.

Walter Simonson is one of the most acclaimed and respected creators in comics. He has done defining runs on Thor, Manhunter, Star Slammers, Elric, Orion and more. Now, in his first creator-owned series in 20 years, he brings his tremendous artistic arsenal to a brand new world… the twilight world of Ragnarök!

Always wondered if there's a good adaptation of Ragnarok. I might give this a look.

If anyone knows another good non-Marvel Ragnarok comic book, please tell me ^^

This looks pretty good. Finally we are getting a version of Ragnarok that appears to be closer to the original Norse myths.

Star Slammer?? I loved that movie!

I bet both Marvel and IDW had their legal teams take a good long look at this one...

Oh fvcks yes.
First IDW gves us the Artists Edition of Simonson's Thor and now they bag the man himself to do his version of Ragnarok?
While the Big Two just keep getting more and more corporate with less attention to the fans or continuity or keeping it real in any shape or form, make mine IDW.
