My hopes for Batman vs. Superman and my Civil War theory

Hello, lads/lasses. I have high hopes for both in terms of their respective movie studios and I'm hoping for nothing short of excellence for both BvS and Civil War.

Hello, lads/lasses. First, my condolences to all the victims and their families in Belgium. May the culprits be brought to justice. I'm a new CMB member from Britain and this is actually my first posting. This won't be too long but I hope it will be enjoyable for all to read. I've actually been a comic book fan since as a child. A lot of it stems back to interest in ancient mythologies which I enjoyed studying since a kid and I find that our comic book-related material is our modern day mythology, a phrase I believe is already shared amongst many fans. I am a comicbook fan of both DC, Marvel, etc. so I don't favour one over the other. This articles is to share my hopes for BvS and a theory for Civil War.

BvS has had much excitement, anxiety, and divisive debate amongst all fans. I suppose all feelings about it are understandable. Please keep in mind that I am writing this before even reading any critic reviews, etc. Though I could be totally wrong, I have a feeling that this film could probably surprise many people and do very well to kickstart the long-awaited DC cinematic universe we have been waiting for. I think the main concern amongs all lads/lasses is that WB is accelerating their universe and maybe putting too much in the film. A legit concern, perhaps, yet I feel that WB and DC have really done a lot of hardcore homework, analysis, research, etc. to finally make this DC universe work. I find it difficult to believe that talented producers, writers, actors and actresses like Geoff Johns, Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Ezra Miller would put all the hard work to waste to deliver a low quality film that fails to meet expectations. I'm not at all predicting that this film is going to be the best superhero film of 2016 and of all time because I simply do not know (only time will tell after at least 1 month of watching by movie goers). Yet, when I get the sense of confidence and excitement by these talented people after watching their interview online, etc., it makes you wonder if something special is just around the corner. Anyway, that is my general hope for the film.

Re. Civil War........well, what can I say. For Marvel to develop a film based on the popular comic book must be a daunting challenge and I also hope this films delivers, as all fans do. There have been many theories about what will happen, who will die, how it will affect the rest of the Marvel Universe up until Infinity War, etc. The popular theory is that Captain America will die and their will be other accompanying funerals. While that did happen in the comics, I have a feeling that perhaps Marvel could do something slightly (but very surprisingly) different. If they really wanted to develop this film in a way that reaches emotionally to the audience, then.........why not have BOTH Captain America AND Iron Man perish? Not only would this be a huge, unexpected shocker to the audience, but it also leaves the state of the Avengers hierarchy in a huge mess. I say this because, if our two iconic Avengers characters die, it leaves a huge question mark on the leadership of the group and compounds the problem even more upon the state of the Marvel Universe after the end of Civil War. Who will lead the Avengers? How will the registration act ensue upon the leadership's distruption? These are possible concerns that I am curious to see how it would dynamically affect the likes of Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and so forth. So these are just my thoughts in my first article. Pardon me if there are any grammatical discrepancies. Please let me know what you think of the ideas and have a safe week.

Cheerio, lads / lasses!!!
