Yeah...You know, it's interesting that over the years Constantine seems to has this cult following. It would be great to figure out the sequel, and we have been trying to figure one out, it would be great to do a really dark, scary, and we should do the hard R version, which I would love to do.

There you go, I Am Legend prequel is definitely not happening, while there is still hope for a Constantine sequel, and it looks like they are working on it. I liked the first film and it would be great to see a sequel. What are your thoughts on this? Do you want to see a Constantine sequel?

would love to see a Constantine sequel, granted the movie wasnt really like the comic and it left things to be desired but overall it was a good flick...

Poor Constantine [ko'nstantain], I know he is a selfish bastard and a coward but he doesn't deserve another film with Akiva Goldsman working on it.

I wouldn't mind seeing a new Constantine movie only if Keanu practices his smoking some more to make it look believable. I mean, it should look like second nature for someone that smokes 4 packs a day for years. He, unfortunately, made it look a bit clunky. I liked the rest of the movie though.

It wasn't a bad flick. I'd like to see Keanu play John Constantine again and since Shia Lebuef's character was killed off we wouldn't have to worry about having the agony of watching him screen. That guy makes Keanu look like freakin Heston!

reboot Constantine and make it similar like the comics

@TyrannicalOverlord

Shia Lebuef character came back as a Angel

I think Guy Pearce would make a good Constantine if Keanu doesn"t come back but ultimately I think he should be British like in the books.

If the wanna make a great movie they should just go back to the roots and bring the comic to the big screen.

Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Ewan McGregor, Colin Farrell, Paul Bettany or Gerard Butler all the way!:)

Nice suggestions, Alex. I wouldn't have thought of Paul Bettany, but that pic does stand-out amongst the rest. I'm just not sure he's a big enough name to carry the movie or get a studio to cough up the $$ to make a decent pic. Maybe if Priest has moderate success, that changes. Ewan's not smarmy enough. Still, I'm a Hellblazer fan and would enjoy another big screen adaptation. Maybe Sean Bean would be willing to take a break from Game of Thrones? Daniel Craig's probably too big a name now, but if Bond gets stuck in limbo, never say never...again...

I bought the DVD. I actually really enjoy that movie. Plus I have absolutely no qualms about watching Rachel Weisz in a wet, white tank top.

jazz@ True!:) Thats sad yeah. He would have been [frick]ing great as Two-Face. Not saying that Eckhart was bad but i would have prefered Pearce.

iwant@ thanks! Thats the bad thing in movies nowadays that they always want the hottest actor right now to play the role even he or she doesnt match with the character at all.
And definitely i think the same thing would probably happen with this if they wanna make it hard R. Hard R doesnt let young people in theaters and that means they gotta get the hottest right now actor to play the role so they can get enough adults in theaters to replace the youngsters.
Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor, Danny Graig and Fass would probably do cause they are pretty big names and Fass hottest shit right now but Bean (great choice by the way) Pearce, Butler and Bettany they are still pretty unknown in major scale so i think they are off... probably? But never say never!;)...

Guy Pearce would be a good Jesse Custer, also.

BTW, if it's "R", I support it.

If Keanu Reeves is coming back, cool, but I've always thought that Robert Downey, Jr. would nail this role.

@jazzman - That's kinda what I was getting at. I'm sure Guy Pearce could pull that off. He was born in England after all. He just needs to tweek the Aussie a bit.

Paul Bettany is a good choice too but can he be bitter and sarcastic for the role?
AlexDeLarge87
AlexDeLarge87 - 5/3/2011, 2:02 PM
AklashPahk@ Yes he would! And yes i support it too if its Hard R!:)

Buddha29@ Good question. He looks the part but we havent really seen him going totally "crazy" in his roles. He has always been that Mr. Serious in his films.
But he is [frick]ing great actor so i guess he could pull it off?... Or not?!;)

@ AlexDeLarge- If that's Paul Bettany bottom center then he has my vote just for that pic alone. I can't think of anything I've ever seen him in but that looks just like a cover from the book.

Pearce has been my pick for Constatine for years. That would be awesome.

If Keanu comes back again I will not be attending.

...and Budda29, the reason Keanu couldn't make something as easy as smoking look convincing?
HE'S A SHIT ACTOR! One role I'd love for him to try and play... dead.
Ceejay

Paul Bettany is the only person who would do Constantine Justice, the rest are just fan favourites. If they continue with a sequel instead of a reboot though, then Keanu should keep the part for continuity and Shia should reprise his role too as the Angel he turned into in the best scene in the original movie that they kept till after the end crdits!

I love Constantine. One of Keanu's best films. Ya got Devil's Advocate at #1, Matrix franchise at #2, this in #3, Street Kings #4, Point Break at #5.
