SDCC: Marvel Studios Returning To Hall H With CAPTAIN AMERICA And THOR Sequels

Last year, the studio brought footage from Iron Man 3 and announced their Phase Two slate. What do they have in store for 2013? Well, we're going to have to wait and see, but they will be bringing Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Thor: The Dark World to Hall H! Read on for details.

Variety has confirmed what we all expected; that Marvel Studios will indeed be in Hall H on Saturday, July 20th with footage and cast members from both Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Thor: The Dark World (at this time, it is believed that Marvel Studios President and producer Kevin Feige is the only one confirmed to attend however). Many fans will be now wondering whether the panel will offer up a sneak peek at Guardians of the Galaxy or even an announcement of the titles of the recently confirmed movies that they have pencilled in for 2016 and 2017. Be sure to stay tuned to CBM for more details as and when they become available.

They'll probably show new footage, but we won't see any of it online until weeks later. How long was it when he saw any footage of IM3 online after it was shown at SDCC last year?

Not only marvel studios, but also Sony with AM2 footage and Fox with Xmen-DOFP. DC doesn't have a single movie to show or even discuss.

As for marvel studios beyond Cap2 and Thor2, I'm betting we get casting news on Antman and a group hug on stage from the current GotG cast, with a surprise guest announcment on the voice for rocket. The question is, which movie annoucement will rule SDCC?

Here's my guess:
Thor 2- first full trailer
Cap 2- first footage (with flash of redford)
GotG- first time cast on stage together with rocket voice coming on stage at the end
Antman- casting
Avengers 2- casting news on quicksilver and scarlet witch
2016 movie announced and possibly a director annoucement.

XmenDOFP- first footage
FF- casting announcement
Announcement of a 2015 movie (FF vs Xmen)

I always look forward to Marvel Studios at Comic-Con! They announced the cast of Avengers in 2011 and then revealed Phase 2 last year. This year Marvel announces Doctor Strange & Black Panther for Phase 3.

Hope we see a new Thor 2 trailer, some Cap 2 and DOFP footage. Maybe some ASM2 footage as well. Man, this comic con looks friggin loaded!!!!!

I'll bet they show some Cap footage, but it will be non-action-y since they haven't had any time in post to clean up and edit the sequences.
And (hopefully) a full Thor trailer since it will perfectly coincide with the release of The Wolverine just 5 days later...great time to put a new trailer in front of that, you know.
And to all those fools who are trying to spread rumors about Thor being delayed...why have a full panel ready for this years Comic Con if the movie were truly in trouble? Because its not!

I wouldn't count out Avengers 2. The cast of the 1st one was announced in 2010, and the movie came out less than 2 years later. It's entirely possible we could be re-introduced to the cast this year, plus any new additions. I would definitely bank on GotG cast introductions.

Yeah, I've about it had it with that "Marvel vs. DC" shit myself. I love both companies (though I like DC slightly more but still). I really enjoy many of Marvel's movies and hope that DC makes more films in the future.

GOTG release is in august 14', (after comic-con) so they'll probably showcase that at SDCC next year. Hopefully we'll get some news on which movies in 16' and 17' will be!

Yep so bored of it now, it's the same people all the time, unlike most of these mother[frick]ers I can actually appreciate what both companies do and offer and enjoy the stuff that they put out and hope that they produce more. This is why i'll never attribute a silly title like Marvelite or DClite to myself or bash one company over the over, I respect both and appreciate what they do.
