The future of theatrical releases like
Mulan and
Black Widow is admittedly uncertain, but Disney has shared some good news by revealing that
Frozen 2 will be made available on Disney+ from tomorrow, three months sooner than expected. Internationally, it arrives in Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand on Tuesday, March 17th.
Getting to relive the adventures of Elsa, Anna, and the adorable Olaf on the streaming service is unexpected, but great news. It will also be welcomed by those forced to self-quarantine at home!
Newly appointed Disney CEO Bob Chapek has expressed his enthusiasm for sharing
Frozen 2 early by stating that,
"the themes of perseverance and the importance of family are messages that are incredibly relevant during this time, and we are pleased to be able to share this heartwarming story early with our Disney+ subscribers to enjoy at home on any device."
With
Mulan no longer riding into theaters later this month and
Black Widow likely facing delays, Disney increasing interest in its streaming platform is beneficial to them and all of us.
