With just over a month to go before Eternals arrives in theaters (sooner in some international locations), we may now have a runtime for the next Marvel Studios movie.

Spanning 9000 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's history is going to take some time, as is the introduction of all these new characters. As a result, it probably won't surprise you to learn that Eternals has been listed on Russian "Film Distributor Bulletin" website Kino Metro as having a runtime of 156 minutes (2 hours and 36 minutes).

The site has shared accurate information on several occasions in the past, and Eternals was literally just rated in Russia, so there's a very good chance this is a correct number.

Interestingly, Eternals now looks set to be the second-longest Marvel Studios movie of all time. The first is, of course, Avengers: Endgame. That clocked in at over 3 hours, while Avengers: Infinity War would now been shifted to third place with 2 hours, 29 minutes.

In Eternals, the epic story, spanning thousands of years, features a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants.

The cast includes Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman.

We'll continue to keep you updated with Eternals news as we get closer to that November 5 release!

Honestly it makes sense, it’s a team film and they have a lot to establish in the way of backstory, character motivations, and character dynamics in the team. It’s always harder to do that for multiple characters in a movie that’s why the MCU has largely stuck to solo movies first aside from Guardians of the Galaxy

Woof… 10+ characters and a lot of explanations of why none of us have ever herd of them or the dumb monsters they are fighting… the closer we get to this movie the more and more I worry it’s going to suck…

@TheMandalorian - This is essentially an Avengers film, if none of the Avengers had solo films before the team up movie.

@KWilly - I heard someone say that by the trailer it looks a dc movie, and he didn’t mean the good ones. Honestly it kinda does, like I wish I never would’ve heard that comment

@KWilly - Like Guardians of the Galaxy, you mean?

This makes sense to me especially because Chloe Zhao really likes to let you live in the world of her movies. That mixed with the fact that cast is so huge gives me reason to be cool with the runtime. Better than rushing to stuff everything in.

I love the cosmic elements of Marvel Comics, but I just can't get excited about this flick. I'm hoping to see a lot more of the Celestials and visuals that are, at least somewhat close to Kirby's, but we'll see. From what I saw from the trailers so far just didn't get me pumped up.

Off topic: Halloween and B-movie nerds- Elvira has a special coming out! She's **70** and still HOTTTTT! 🔥

The Eternals trailers weren't very good so far.
This is the least expected and exciting blockbuster for everyone i talked to, me included.

Comments like these are why I'm afraid for the future of the superhero genre this rejection of new characters needs to stop if the mcu machine is to keep going forever

@TheCoonII - Don't be. This will get a cool 85 to 95% on RT and everyone will eat it up. Marvel is just a success train right now

I'm genuinely more interested in Eternals than Spider-Man No Way Home. Eternals looks beautifully shot, mythic, and interesting. Spider-Man looks cool, fun, and drowning in nostalgia.

So add 5 minutes extra for all the gay stuff the Russians will cut out.
