With the coming of The Dark Knight Rises, I've started to wonder how long we'll have to wait afterward for a reboot. We may have to wait 5-7 years! When there is a reboot though, these are some villains that deserve to be in it, that haven't seen the big screen yet:
1: Clayface
Yes, Basil Carlo. He always appealed to me. A B-List actor who was devastated when he discovered that his best movie was being remade with a different cast. Somewhere along the way he turned into a giant humanoid chunk of shape-shifting clay. He could now become anyone, but not himself. I'm sure he would be a fan favorite, and if played right, one of the best Batman film villains.
2: Firefly
Another one of my favorites. I always imagined a movie where Firefly and Mr. Freeze were always fighting each other, causing massive damage to the city. I always liked the "Playing with fire" theme, where someone misuses a force that they cannot control once released. So in a movie, perhaps Firefly tries to burn Gotham to the ground, but realizes that he can't control the blaze, and pays for it, by being completely scarred. Another villain that could be a fan favorite.
3: Killer Croc
In a movie, Killer Croc could be tough to portray. He's disgusting, hates normal people, evil, scary, and isn't normal. That's easy to portray, but I've always thought of Croc as sympathetic. He was born with a terrible case of atavism, made fun of at school, bullied by his aunt, and wasn't that smart. He lives in the sewer! But some people may not get this, so let's just make his younger brother the newly elected mayor of Gotham in the movie. Okay, NOW everyone should get why they should feel sorry for Croc. He would be amazing in a movie. Which brings us to our next villain.
4: Man-Bat
This guy is my absolute favorite. I don't know why there hasn't been a Man-Bat or Kirk Langstorm reference in Batman:AA or Batman:AC. He was even going to BE in a movie! After Batman and Robin, there was going to be a movie featuring Scarecrow, The Mad Hatter, Harley Quinn, and Man-Bat! Kirk is a lot like the Lizard. A science experiment to cure a disability gone horribly wrong. If Man-Bat started to work with Killer Croc, it would really express the Bat, in Batman. I'd love for Batman to actually have to have flight suit and not just a glide suit. A battle in the sky would be amazing.
5: Harley Quinn
Don't tell me you didn't see it coming. I had to put on this list SOMEWHERE right? The Joker's lover would be great in a movie, especially after Rocksteady's last 2 games. If a reboot goes with the Red Hood origin, make Harley his wife. She is driven insane after the Red Hood is dumped in the chemical vat. She comes back to avenge his death later in the series. ( She learns he lives on as the Joker in the 2nd act) She could rescue the Joker from the Asylum, but he betrays her, and runs off, leaving Harley crying in Mr. J's cell.
