Can We Expect The First AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Trailer Next Tuesday?
A few months ago, I created an editorial about how we might see the first Avengers: Age Of Ultron trailer this month. Well, October's here and it's almost over. Where the heck is that trailer?!? We might be getting it next week. Hit the jump to see why!
I'm pretty sure a lot of you remember my editorial back in August where I predicted that we might be getting the first official Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer this month (based on Marvel's pattern). I was proud to see that my theory was spread across the internet and many people picked up on it. Here's what I came up with again for those of you who cannot remember:
The only two Marvel films that have been released during the first week of May have been The Avengers and Iron Man 3.
The Avengers
Release date: May 4th, 2012
First Trailer: October 11th, 2011
Iron Man 3
Release Date: May 3rd, 2013
First Trailer: Oct 22nd, 2012
October 11th has passed already and October 22nd is tommorow. Will we get the trailer tomorrow?? No. All trailers since Phase 2 (including The Avengers which was in Phase 1) have been released on a Tuesday. Which leads me to believe that next Tuesday, the last week of October, is where we could get that darn trailer!
Now, in the worst case scenerio, if it's not here next week we might get the Age of Ultron trailer in December. Here's why...
In Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe three films where released during the first week of May. Those films were Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), and Thor (2011). The trailer for these films did not release until the month of December (except for Iron Man, i'm not sure when that trailer was released).
Now, to bring back some good news, let's remember it was reported a couple weeks ago that the first Avengers: Age Of Ultron trailer might be attached to Christopher Nolan's Intersteller and most likely Big Hero Six which will hit theaters worldwide in two weeks. More specifically on November 7th. Our own DCMarvelFreshman has pointed out that "trailers are usually released online about a week before their theatrical runs" If this turns out to be true, we just might get the Age of Ultron trailer NEXT TUESDAY!!! Start the countdown!
What do you think of this? Do you think the trailer will be released next week? Sound off below!
