There have been a number of rumors thrown around lately as to who's going to be in the new Spider-Man reboot. After talking with several Hollywood agents, I've decided to share my dream casting with the fans here at ComicBookMovie.

Steven McQueen as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man

Mostly known for his roles in The WB's Everwood and The CW's Vampire Diaries, McQueen is a versatile actor who physically resembles a teenage Peter Parker. He has a sharp wit about him that could help this incarnation of the character better represent the humorous Spider-Man who comic fans love. Even better is that McQueen is actually being considered for the role! Initially when I started contacting people about McQueen they acted like they didn't know who he was but I recently got a tip that it may have been a ploy.

Dianna Agron as Gwen Stacy

Agron is a relative unknown who would probably cost the studio very little but her recent bout of fame from Fox's Glee makes her an ideal candidate. Moreover, Agron is beautiful and the girl has an infectious personality. At her core what made Gwen so great was how undeniable she was, and who in their right mind would say no to Dianna?

Whitney Hoy as Mary Jane Watson

Whitney Hoy is very green but her hair is very red. Her biggest role to date was a small guest stint on Friday Night Lights but she really struck a chord with me. Hoy looks the part and she would offer a nice counter balance to Agron.

Julie Christie as Aunt May

Academy Award winner Julie Christie could embody a younger version of Aunt May like few others. She was fantastic in Away From Her and in Spider-Man she could provide the wisdom that Aunt May was usually responsible for in the early comics, while also showing a range of emotion.

Dustin Hoffman as Uncle Ben

Another Academy Award winner and a true professional, I can just imagine Hoffman telling us about how great responsibility comes hand in hand with great power. And, while I realize he recently signed on to star in HBO's Lucky... I have no doubt he could also fit Spider-Man into his schedule.

Zach Gilford as Harry Osborn

With the last series of films, Harry looked significantly different from the comics. Gilford isn't as odd a choice as James Franco was and in some photos there is even a clear resemblance between Gilford and the comic version of Harry. Moreover, Gilford is a fantastic actor who'd foil McQueen quite nicely.

Dennis Haysbert as Robbie Robertson

If you've ever seen an episode of The Unit or an early episode of 24 then you know Haysbert has the warm charm necessary for the Robbie Robertson role. He is also very calm and methodical in the way he speaks, which is how I always imagined Robbie speaking with Jonah.

Kellan Lutz as Flash Thompson

If we're heading back to high school for The Amazing Spider, then Flash is a must. Kellan bares a striking resemblance to Flash and he is a seasoned pro when it comes to playing the beefy jock type. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to have the Twihards embrace this film.

Hugh Laurie as J. Jonah Jameson

This was far and away the hardest choice for me because J.K. Simmons owned the role in the last set of films. I've heard rumors that Simmons might reprise his role in this new film but I don't know if that's a good decision. Laurie is fiery and funny, which would make him a good fit for Jonah.

Since the creative team has yet to announce a villain, I've chosen not to guess at who will fill the shoes of Peter's nemesis. But, I may throw something up when they finally spill the beans.
