Like my Batman: Hood of Blood story, I decided to come up with a stand alone Spider-Man story as well. Let me tell you, if I ever make a fan film (or if Hollywood accepts it) I will make this.

Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for a while, now. He has many enemies, but they are just petty thugs. However, things get dangerous when Spider-Man fights his first super villain: Green Goblin. Green Goblin starts killing criminals, but not to make the world a better place. He kills criminals to send messages to the crime lord Kingpin. Spider-Man tries to convince Goblin to stop, but their fights ends with Goblin fleeing. Peter goes to school the next day, late, and is scolded by his professor, Miles Warren. Peter leaves with his friend Gwen Stacy, whom Warren shows interest in.

Gwen has had a crush on Peter since 7th grade, but is currently dating a junior named Eddie Brock. Peter returns to his apartment and learns that a recent shuttle landing has “brought along” an alien life form. Warren intendeds to study the life form, but is “beaten out” by Curt Connors. Jealous, Warren hires thug Herman Shultz to steal the symbiote. However, Shultz is beaten by Spider-Man, who accidentally steals the ooze.

Peter goes to sleep that night and has a violent dream where he is fighting a hideous creature. Peter eventually loses and is eaten by the beast. When he wakes up, he is hanging upside down in front of a building, where he sees his reflection, but he is in a different costume. Peter is able to jump farther, run faster, and lift heavier due to the suit. He decides to keep it.

The next week, Spider-Man robs a bank. Peter suspects that this is Chameleon, as this has happened before. Sadly, no one believes him (except Captain Stacy and Flash Thompson) as this Spider-Man had the exact body movements of the real Spider-Man. Pete goes looking for Chameleon, who escapes back to Russia before he can fight Spidey.

Peter goes to school that day, but Warren is not in. So, their sub is Connors. However, Green Goblin attacks the school during the lecture. Peter is able to save a few students (including Flash) before being able to switch into Spidey. Goblin and Spidey fight as Goblin tries vigorously to kill Pete’s friend Harry. Goblin ends the fight by telling Spider-Man he saw him change and flees once more.

Peter becomes more and more paranoid about the people around him. His friends and family blame the attack as his reason and he goes along with it. As Peter swings by in his black suit he stumbles upon another Spider-Man robbing a bank. The two fight, with the other Spider-Man having the exact fighting style as Spidey does. Their fight gets grander until Spidey unmasks the faker as a man that looks just like him. Spidey violently asks the clone to bring him to his “maker”. The clone, which has the IQ of a child, brings Spider-Man to Warren’s lab.

Warren calls himself the Jackal. He explains to Spider-Man that, a few weeks ago, his lab assistant had come to him with a formula for making clones. Warren was intrigued and tested on a rabbit. The test was a success and the rabbit showed signs of perfect health and motor abilities. Warren wants to test on a human, but his assistant is nervous, as cloning a human is illegal. Warren tries to silence him, but accidentally kills him. At that moment, Warren cracked and created a different personality, one that he called the Jackal. Jackal knew that Spider-Man would stop Shultz and instead ordered Shultz to receive a blood sample from Spidey. Shultz succeeded, and Jackal created a clone of Spider-Man, learning his true identity in the process.

Jackal planned to use the clone as his way to riches, but found it to be difficult as the clone was not fully perfect. He was able to move like Spider-Man and follow orders, but had to be treated like a child, since his knowledge grew at a relatively slow rate. Spider-Man becomes furious and brutally fights Jackal and the clone. Soon, the fight escalates until the entire laboratory explodes just as Spidey escapes. Pete goes to school the next day and gets into an argument with Gwen. Eddie tries to step in and ends up getting into a fist fight with Pete, who easily wins. Pete is suspended, and starts to go off and fight thugs with brutal results.

Peter goes to work the next day and sees that Eddie took up a job as a photographer. Eddie assures Pete that he doesn’t want trouble and is only taking the job to pay for his dorm. Pete doesn’t care and eventually finds a way to get Brock fired, Brock starts to grow a grudge against Peter.

With Brock unable to pay for his dorm, he is kicked out of college. Brock’s psychological problems start to kick in when he considers turning a gun on Peter. Gwen finds out and, while Brock assures Gwen he didn’t plan on killing Parker, immediately breaks up with him. Brock’s grudge towards Peter grows more and more.

Spider-Man becomes more like a vigilante then a superhero, beating thugs to broken bones. Peter finally begins to realize that the suit is changing him when he starts saying “we” instead of “I”. Peter runs off to a church tower in order to think to himself. Peter decides that the suit needs to go. He tries ripping it off, and is only able to succeed after hitting the bell. As he tries to rid himself of the suit, he enters deep into his psyche. He has a conversation with the symbiote, who tries to convince Peter that his life is filled with nothing but despair. Peter is only able to get the upper hand when he remembers all the bright moments in his life and all the good he has done. With this, Peter is able to rid himself of the symbiote.

As this all goes on, Eddie enters the church. A devout catholic, Eddie prays to God to forgive him of his sins and to forgive him for what he is about to do. Eddie explains to God that he did not want it to come to this, but Peter has left him no choice. Before Eddie ends the prayer, he asks God to answer this question: Why did he deserve all this pain? At this moment, Brock is able to hear Peter’s screams. He goes to the staircase and sees the ooze falling down. He hits Brock just as Peter crawls off into peace. When Peter gains strength to leave the tower, Brock starts to morph into a satanic creature. After all the pain ends, Brock embraces the change and becomes Venom.

Tell me what you think in the comments below. ;)
