Was Norman Osborn revealed in the newest trailer for TASM? Hit the jump to find out why I believe he was.

So in the newest trailer, around the 1:24 mark, someone looks directly at Curt Connors and asks if he told the boy about his father. This mysterious man is obviously referring to Peter Parker. He is enclosed in a small area with Connors and is surrounded by shadows. Marc Webb said that he meant for there to be an intentional mystery with this scene when used in the trailer and didn't reveal too much for a reason. I believe this character is Norman Osborn for a couple reasons. One, this shot is mysterious for a reason, and that reason is to hide something about the movie. What else is there to hide? Two, who else can Peter learning about his parents effect? Three, the presence of Norman Osborn is obviously foreshadowed with Oscorp and Webb even saying they hint at his back story in this. Now all of this is obviously speculation, and maybe Norman Osborn isn't physically in this movie at all, but with all of the context clues, I assume he is and would be ecstatic to see him on screen again.

Ditto. His voice sounded a bit like Brad Dourif's (Deadwood, LoTR & Child's Play as Chucky's voice). It was mega creepy...

Apparently the guy is played by Michael Massee. And Marc Webb said that the scene is intentionally mysterious...

Q: Not to get too specific about the trailer, but who was the voice that said, “Did you tell the boy about his father?”
Webb: Oh! [laughs] You'll have to see the movie.

Q: So it's intentional mystery?
Webb: Yeah.

Wasnt Christopher Waltz rumored to be in the film to play Osbourne a while back...Did that seem or sound like it could've been Waltz in that scene?

Of course its Norman, who else would it be? All signs point to Connors being an oscorp employee, and Norman owns the company. This isnt really a mystery.

@mrthingswehate

Adriam toombes? Seriously? What on earth makes you think its the vulture? Nothing at all points to that lol.

Doubt its the Vulture...why would they wanna start this new series with the villian the last series basically threw in the towel on when they were gonna use him.

Remember when Anne Hathaway was gonna play " Vultress "...YIKES LoL

That's exactly what I was thinking. I was going to post my own editorial but you basically covered it all.

Michael Massee is playing David Lowell, who is a research scientist at Oscorp and later becomes the villain "Sundown". So if it is him it could be foreshadowing something.

Your just throwing out random villain names that make no sense at all. Whats next, rocket racer? The spot?

Come on, its obviously Norman. The film is obviously heavily centered around oscorp, so the only person that makes sense is Norman. Pete's father was killed and oscorp has something to do with it. Norman owns oscorp, so its the perfect setup for green goblin in a sequel and makes it very personal.

Again, I fail to see the mystery here...

I agree... kinda sounded like Michael Douglass. Would be cool to have him for Osborn so you could see him go from old man to muscled up badguy and really see the effects of the serum. Honestly I think it's Michael Douglass, it's not like he hasn't played an industrial villain before

It's most likely Norman Osborn. Except for some reason, I initially thought it was EZEKIEL. Though it is highly unlikely and totally not going to be him, the two shady figures resemble each other. On a side note, even though it is almost for sure going to be Osborn, isn't that guy a bit too old to be playing him?

What if thats the plan, to portray Norman as an ailing older man, but later finds out its Connors formula that turns him healed and gave him his arm back but turned him into The Lizard. Thinking it could cure him of wats ailing him and make him strong again for Oscorp, he takes the same serum, it does what he expected but in turn makes him demented and into Green Goblin :]
