this is just Conjecture right now, but ive Never Liked tobey maguire as spidey/parker he was completely Miscast from getgo along with Kirsten dunst in my opinion. he just never really exuded anything of parkers confidence, the ggeky stuff was fine before he got bit by the spider, but maguires parker was stilla monotone doof even after he became spider-man and that never sat well with me at all! but lo and behold i have found the actor that looks EXACTLY LIKE PETER PARKER SPIDEY STEP STRAIGHT OUT OF THE COMICS INTO REALITY! JESSE MCARTNEY, and Not only That But Jesse has already Worked with Marc Webb, webb directed Videos of his and specials! Jess is PETER PARKER INCARNATE! what you guys think?

sure, the hair looks like 616 pete right now...but look at his eyes and mouth kal...they're all wrinkly.
Maybe it's just a bad picture, but he looks weird.

I'll admit that the Spiderman series was not Tobey's best work, at least he has some big screen experience. Tobey is a much better actor, by far.

By the way, if you want to gain any respect at all on this site, don't delete everyone comments. Treat other users with respect and I guarantee that you will be treated with the same respect. Be a man (or woman, I don't know your sex, I'm not being diesrespectful there) and have a real discussion instead of throwing around all the names that you are. Exactly. He was awesome in Brothers. My point is, I think that a role like Peter Parker/Spidey needs to go someone who has provem himself, Like Emile Hirsch. Although I thin he's too old for the version they are going for. Jesse McArtney may LOOK like Peter but I just don't thin he's at the skill level needed for the role.

Blame the writing then, not Tobey, for the emo Spiderman. Hirsch is an AMAZING actor and could easily pull that "lighthearted" role off, as could Tobey if the script were written that way.
