Poll: Who would you like to see play Lex Luthor in a sequel to Man of Steel?

Yes, another poll. But this time, I want your opinion on who should play Superman's arch-nemesis.

As with my previous polls, I give you five actors to choose for a particular role. You vote for your choice of actor in the poll below. After a week or two, I will post the results: If you have any suggestions for the poll, I'll add them if they are popular enough with the other voters.

For this poll, I chose Superman's archenemy Lex Luthor. If the Man of Steel is successful enough, they will probably go with a sequel. I don't want Luthor as the main villain, but rather a secondary villain (give the main villain role to Parasite or Metallo). Here are your five choices for Lex below:

Choice #1: John Hamm

Choice #4: Michael C. Hall



Choice #5: Guy Pearce





BTW, my personal choice for Luthor is Hamm. I would have chose Michael C. Hall, but he's the perfect Maxwell Lord.

Jon Hamm. A lot of people want him for Supes, but I think he'd be better off as Lex.

I think if they go with a younger Lex, then I would say Ben Foster. For an older lex I would pick Arnold Vosloo.

How about we get a Lex Luthor who isn't old enough to be Supermans dad, which ever actor plays him should be closer in age to cavill IMO.

Probably not any of them. After a while, I think I'd like to see a face we're not that much familiar with to portray Lex...I want to be surprised with a fresh pick. Although, Jack Coleman could be very interesting, too; the guy deserves a CBM role IMO. (Heroes not counted.)

I don't think LL should look like he can kick SM butt. Hamm looks too big. I always thought the cartoon LL was too big. I'm not saying he's got to be a scrawny guy but somewhere in the middle ala Bruce Wayne. A guy that spends a descent amount of time in the gym. Hall is a great middle ground. I don't think they should be the same age but a grandpa LL is dumb. a guy in his late 30's to early 40's just not the guy that everyone wanted as SM (Hamm) at one point.

For the record I'd love the old school scientist turned slowly over films into the financial LL of today

I dont know what the big deal is about John Hamm but anyway....My choice would be Ryan Gosling...his performance in the last movie with Steve Carell is what I'd want Lex Luthor to be. Not a bad guy in the first meeting, but someone who has the best of intensions, seeing Supes as a threat because of his godlike abilities...but his fear & his arogance is what drives him to do some hanous things to prove supes as evil...ala Bad day on the block .

In the end he becomes what he intended to stop.

My choice is Bradley Cooper. He's good at pretending to be the good guy while really being the bad guy.
