"The Avengers" characters 'theme' songs

loving the Skillet shout out man!
best choice is Monster for Hulk.
Iron Man was a no brainer of course.
but imo, you need to skirt away from the AC/DC themes because half of them were used in Iron Man.

and this is just my opinion, but you need something that stands out for each character. these songs kinda blend together into the hard core rock genre while The Avengers are known for being diverse. stretch the pallet a little.

Captain America needs something old school, not sure what, but maybe with a hint of patriotism.
Thor needs something a bit more operatic to ensure that the scope of the character is not lost in translation.
as for the Agents and Director of SHIELD, these guys are spies and assassins. espionage is their game. imo while your choice of songs are original they are limited to the same genre.

i am not being critical so i hope you don't take this as such. these are some really good songs but i do not think all of them belong to The Avengers.

@PaulRom: yeah, Skillet is my 2nd favorite too, right behind U2.

@everyone else: I really like the idea for older music for Cap, it's just hard to find older music that doesn't sound like it's from a musical. but I'll do some research and see what I can find and hopefully update this. and the same for Thor. thanks.

@Wadey09: for the team, I also thought of Hero, which would probably work better. One thing I would love to see in the movie (if the Skrulls are the villains) is have the team walk out of the Hellicarrier and look up into the sky and see a bunch of Skrull warships. just as this happens, Wake Up by Rage Against the Machine plays. the Avengers then fight hundreds of Skrulls for about 5 minutes while the song plays. that would be cool.

The immigrant song by led Zepplin is perfect for Thor!
