The Battle of the Scales Poll: The Lizard vs. Killer Croc

The Battle of the Scales Poll: The Lizard vs. Killer Croc

I know there are a lot of battles out there and now I am adding to them. In this poll Marvel's reptilian King goes up against DC's crocodile wrestler turned into criminal deformed by mutation into a humanoid-lizard. The ultimate battle of scales.

I have thought about posting this battle ever since I started and now I am getting to it. At a time it did seem Killer Croc might be in the next Batman movie, but that seems to be squashed. The same year that that movie was going to come out, The Spider-Man Reboot was going to be out and have the Lizard as the main villain. So it might have been possible that we saw these two reptiles go to battle on the big screen. And now I bring you this VS Poll to see what you think would happen if these two were in the same Universe. If Killer Croc ventured to New York sewers and ran into the Lizard. But before you cast your vote lets take a look at the two fighters:

The Lizard: Marvel's Reptilian King (Debuted in Amazing Spider-Man #6- Nov. 1963)

Curtis Connors was a gifted surgeon who enlisted into the army. One day while performing surgery, a nearby explosion took Connor's right arm. When he returned home he become obsessed with reptiles and the ability to regrow missing limbs. He eventually developed a serum with reptilian DNA and injected himself with it, regrowing his missing arm but then transforming himself into the Lizard. When Connors transforms into the Lizard, he posses a variety of powers:

Superhuman Strength- While transformed as the Lizard has the ability to lift about 12 tons and because of his strong muscles in his body, has the ability to leap about 17 feet in the air. Also posses high stamina and durability

Speed and Agility- Can run at a top speed of about 45 mph. His balance and body coordination are at enhanced levels as well as his reflexes.

Regenerative Healing Factor- Lizard's body is able to rapidly regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue. Can also regrow missing limbs, just like some known reptilian species.

Tools of the Trade- One of the Lizard's greatest weapons is his tail. Used for balance or as an offensive weapon. He can whip his tail at speeds over 70 mph and enough strength to shatter concrete. When transformed he posses claws on his toes and feet that can slash through flesh, bone, wood, stone, and even some metals. His mouth is filled with razor sharp fangs that he uses in close combat situations. He is also a savage monster transformed bent on destroying the human race.

Psionics- Has the ability to control reptiles while he is transformed. (A note on this power: He can not use this power on Killer Croc. Croc is not a reptile he is a mutated human.)

Weaknesses- Lizard's strength and speed will go down when exposed to intense cold for more than a few minutes. Being cold-blooded that is his biggest and only weakness.

Killer Croc: DC's Humanoid-lizard (Debuted in Batman #358- April 1983)

Waylon Jones was once a crocodile wrestler who suffers from a medical condition that caused him to grow progressively more like a crocodile, so he is not a full fledged reptile so the Lizard's power wont work over him, and giving him his new criminal name of Killer Croc. Just like the Lizard, Croc has some powers due to his condition:

Strength- With his mutated strength, Croc can now lift up to 10 tons and has been seen to have the strength to rip off a bank vault door.

Durability- Corc's skin has hardened to the point that he is invulnerable to most forms of abrasion and even high caliber weapons fired from a distance. Batman has had to resort to using explosives to knock him out.

Speed and Reflexes- Because of his mutation, Croc's speed and reflexes have become better and match those of the Lizard. He is also very capable under the water.

Regenerative Powers- Like the Lizard, Croc posses the power to regenerate skin tissue faster then a human does and can eve regrow missing limbs.

Fighting Abilities- I know this is not a power but it still needs to be addressed. Croc has had experiences in street fighting and wrestling, as seen with his early career of crocodile wrestling.

Claws and Teeth- With his mutation, Croc's nails grew to claws that are the same as the Lizard's. Able to slash and cut through things as strong as metal. His teeth are just the same.

Weakness- I am not that knowledgeable with DC so I did do some research with Croc and it seems his weakness is actually his mind. He is a high school drop out and has a low level of intelligence. Also, his mind has been effected by his mutation and his mind seems to becoming more like that of a crocodile and has become more savage, eating humans and such (Taking off Cash's hand).

So those are your two fighters. I apologize if I messed anything up with Killer Croc, I did do my research though to make this the best I could. Poll Box is below and of course I would love to hear your comments below. I think you know where I stand on this fight, and no it is not because the Lizard is my favorite character. I believe the Lizard is stronger then Croc and this fight would be a good one. Leave a comment below with your thoughts.
