Keaton is the best live-action Batman. If we were to count all the guys who have portrayed Bats in any media, Kevin Conroy would be the best.

I ahve to say Christian Bale, his portrayal was intimidating and ferocious just like Batman should be.

I concur with @Tyler. There isn't nobody I've seen yet on the level of Keatons batman..

Bale was a mediocre Batman. I feel he is overrated. He was the best Bruce Wayne, but not so much for the other side...

Keaton all the way, I actually just watched Batman and Returns last night for like the 100th time.

Returns is my fav batman film of all time, even though Selina's back story was changed immensely the movie still rules, and Burton rules for making it so awesome.

I like Returns a lot as well. It's my 4th fav. Bats movie, but I still enjoy watching it.

Keaton brought Batman to life for me! It was awesome! I couldn't believe how authentic he felt as the Batman I knew from the comic books all my life! It was a comics-geeks dream of dreams, in my heart of hearts!

And Nicholson was THE Joker of all time for me too! The one from the regular long-time regular Batman comics! Batman & Joker just walked off the page for me and I was in Hog Heaven! :D

Thank you Tim Burton I will never forget that feeling! Never had I seen anything like it before!!!

Now for the modern real-feel Batman, Nolan & Bale & Heath Batman's are the epitome of cool for the new generation!!!
They are also works of incredible movie-making masterpieces!

Keaton's Batman and Bale's Batman complement each other as two sides of the coin, one side the eye-popping pop art painting on the canvas of Celluloid, the other side, the realistic modernistic mind-boggling gritty Film Noir magic!

It's all good and for our delighted benefit! Thank You Nolan & Burton! You guys rock like 10.0 on the Richter scale!!!

lee@ clooney is and will always be the best lol jp bale is batman the best ever
and sorry you cannot and i repeat cannot be the best portrayal of the character if you just did the voice of a cartoon form when theres been 5 live action movies and you havent played one im sorry thats like sayin hamill is the joker he did great but even heath has a better voice for the joker imo he brought out what the joker is to me an agent of chaos he does what he wants when he wants

flames809 - 10/4/2009, 9:27 AM
Sabre- i agree with you and heath is the greatest joker no one can top him not even Hamill. in tdk heath change his voice that messed with his sleeping problem. i think we have to do a joker pole of who was the best joker

DDD - 10/4/2009, 9:49 AM
Choosing between Nicholson and Heath as Joker is like comparing oranges to apples! Same character, totally different type worlds! It's not a fair comparison! They should not be compared, they were both fantastic for their given styles! That is a slap in the face to both actors!
