Fantastic Four was a box office bomb and panned by critics, and not even the reboot's cast can deny that. Kate Mara certainly wasn't in an interview with Entertainment Tonight anyway, as she joked that her superhero movie, "was the biggest success. I just want to put it out there," when the interviewer pointed out that he was interviewing three actors - Mara, Sebastian Stan, and Michael Pena - with comic book movie experience. When Stan admitted that he's yet to watch Fantastic Four, Mara quietly quipped: "Neither did the rest of the world." The actress also confirmed that she's seen neither the theatrical cut or Josh Trank's supposed superior version, and her comments at the end of the interview were particularly telling. "I've certainly been a part of movies that people are not very thrilled about. So it's nice to be in something people love, that you loved working on," Mara added in reference to The Martian.
