The latest rumor for the MCU's reboot for the Fantastic Four purports that Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two's Vanessa Kirby has the offer in hand to play Sue Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman.
That rumor, follows previous reports that Kirby was up for the role alongside Margot Robbie, Emma Stone and Mila Kunis, Allison Williams, and Jodie Comer.
While walking the red carpet for the premiere of Dead Reckoning, Kirby was asked about the bevy of fans who want to see her cast in the role, Kirby replied, "It would be an honor to play Sue Storm. She's amazing, and it'd be a complete honor."
Comic book fans are humorously pointing out that actress Rachel Brosnahan recently said something similar about playing Lois Lane in the DCU's Superman: Legacy, just a few weeks before the news became official.
The Fantastic Four reboot is scheduled to be released on February 14, 2025. It will be directed by Jon Watts, who directed the first three Spider-Man films in the MCU.
The script is being written by Josh Friedman. He is a screenwriter and producer who has worked on a number of television shows and films, including Snowpiercer, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Avatar: The Way of Water.
