My idea for a complete four movie fantastic four franchise in the MCU

I give my thoughts on how to make a 4 movie Fantastic Four series. I give characters, locations, long rambling stories I should have cut out but didn't because I've been working on this since frickin July!!!

Introduction

Fant4stic was horrible.   For some reason fox can’t get the fantastic four right. I don’t know, maybe it’s just a difficult nut to crack but I can probably come up with a better plot(possibly) and characterization than them. If I were to make a Fantastic four  movie… no a Fantastic four Trilogy, no not a trilogy… 4 movies. Because it's the 4.I would make it epic, adventurous, and full of the sci fi craziness of the 60’s. At it’s core though, it’s not really about all that, it’s about family. Fox’s problem is that they don’t take risks with the material. They need to take risks.

The following is my idea for the first  Fantastic four movie in an epic FF trilogy and the two sequels.
Costumes: These are the designs the movie designs should be based on

Locations:

Characters:

The Fantastic four: Reed, Ben, Sue, and Johnny have been friends since college. Reed created the scientific organization Future Foundation. After the events of Infinity war an attempt at building a deep space rocket was made. The rocket was based on a design created by Reed and Doom in college. After an accident during the launch of a high tech space shuttle which they were all aboard, they were bombarded with cosmic rays and given fantastic abilities.

Reed Richards: Mr. Fantastic. Genius scientist. The smartest man on Earth, and equal to only one. Specializes in pysics and engineering. Created Future Foundation. Inventor of the Pocket deep space Rocket, and many other inventions. Husband of Susan. He and Victor von Doom were college roommates. After college he patented several inventions and with a group of friends, created a scientific organization, the Future Foundation. He always wanted to build the rocket he and Doom had been working on and ride it into space, in honor of his friend who he had thought had been killed in the Sokovian civil war when he lost contact with him.

Susan Storm-Richards: The Invisible Woman:  Husband of Reed Richards. Brother of Johnny. An accomplished biochemist.

Ben Grimm: The Thing:  Best Friends with Reed Richards since he saved his life in college during the same dorm fire that scarred  Victor’s face. After the accident that gave the FF powers he became a freak of nature.  He was the mechanic on the spaceship..

Johnny Storm: The Human Torch:  Brother of Susan He is three years younger than Sue. He’s a party boy. A bit immature. He wants to be famous. He piloted Reeds space ship. He and Ben Grimm will create some comedic relief in the movies. He

Victor Von Doom: The worlds second smartest man. He has a tendency to speak in the third person. Born in a gypsy camp in Sokovia during a civil war and soon orphaned, his past is shrouded in mystery.  He would  eventually end up Reed Richards roommate at an american college. Their genius’s meshed perfectly and they began working on an experimental rocket engine( the same one that would be used in the FF’s rocket) He dated Susan Storm. While building robots(that he planned to use to win the war that was going on in his home country, an argument on its morality led to it  exploded in Doom’s  face scarring  him. This started a fire. Reed and Victor were both saved by Ben Grimm, a college football quarterback. It was decided by the board that Victor  would be expelled and deported.  Reed would never see Victor again. Reed believed Victor had died in Sokovia during the civil war.

Harvey Elder/mole man: He was a genius, a kind man, he could have been the next Reed Richards, or Tony Stark or Hank Pym, but he was ostracized for his ugliness. So he left the world of the beautiful people to live below us in the dark caverns of Subterrania. He became the king of a race of mole people who lived deep beneath the earth, completely blind. He conquered ancient monsters, and now he seeks revenge on the surface world.

Fantastic Four: World's Greatest

We meet Reed in college and the rest of the FF. Also, Doom. We see Doom’s origin from Reed's point of view and how it connects to the construction of the space shuttle. We then see how this leads to the origin of the FF. It's the first 20 minutes of the movie. The FF interact, Sue and Reed have a romantic moment. The four crash land back on earth and this leads to them returning to the Baxter building( future foundation headquarters)  where they begin to manifest powers. Ben is the last to transform and when he becomes a hulking monster he blames Reed. Reed and Sue study the teams new powers and try to discover how they happened and what has changed. Reed tries to find a cure for Ben, Johnny secretly calls a future foundation press conference where he dubs the team and reveals their powers. He claims they are a superhero team like the Avengers now. Ben is angry at being shown to the public.

We meet the Mole Man as he watches Ben Grimm, dubbed The Thing on a television screen deep underground. He releases the monster: Giganto who arrives a block away from the Baxter Building. The FF run over to fight it, recreating the cover for Fantastic Four #1. Ben is shot at by police who think he is another monster. The FF defeat Giganto. Ben stomps away as the rest of the FF are bombarded by reporters, when he is abducted by Moloids. Easter egg of Sokovia now under dictators rule news headline somewhere in all this. He meets Mole man who tells him he is creating a new society where people hated by the surface world can live in peace. Giganto was a distraction to attract the FFs attention so he could meet Ben. Ben initially agrees with Mole Man and decides to live beneath the Earth with the Moloids. On the surface the FF wonder where Ben is while Johnny tries brings a news crew up to the 5 top floors of the Baxter Building owned by the FF. Reed is also trying to find out where Giganto came from. In Subterranea Mole Man ( while Ben is distracted viewing Giganto )Secretly sends a message to all  surface world electronic devices claiming he will destroy and conquer it, beginning with New York City.  Cameo of Spider Man watching from Times Square.
The FF realize it's connected to the Giganto attack and head back to the sinkhole Giganto came out of.(first putting on costumes made by Reed to work with their powers) They journey into the Earth. Ben discovers Mole Man’s plans and confronts him, while Mole Man tries to persuade Ben to join him. He reveals he's going to release not just Giganto, but dozens of monsters to attack the surface world. Ben is hesitant until the FF arrive and Ben joins them to fight the Moloids. Mole man releases the giant monsters into New York. ( Rorgg, Tricephalous, and Droom).  The Thing, having bonded with Giganto during his time below, rides him up to the surface. the FF return to the surface world and fight the monsters, chasing them back into the Earth. Mole Man curses the FF and runs away deeper into the Earth before being eaten by Giganto. The FF return to the city as heroes. During a party to honor them Ben meets Alicia Masters.

End credits scenes:
1. Something for a future marvel movie
2. Doctor Doom planning his revenge on Reed.

The Sequel:

For this movie I plan to make it a bit smaller and more personal, still a big story but a bit darker, the empire strikes back of the series.

New Characters:

Dr. Doom: The worlds second smartest man. Born in a gypsy camp in Sokovia during a civil war and soon orphaned, his past is shrouded in mystery.  He would  eventually end up Reed Richards roommate at an american college. Their genius’s meshed perfectly and they began working on an experimental rocket engine( the same one that would be used in the FF’s rocket) He dated Susan . While building robots(that he planned to use to win the war that was going on in his home country, an argument on its morality led to it  exploded in Doom’s  face scarring  him. This started a fire. Reed and Victor were both saved by Ben Grimm, a college football quarterback. It was decided by the board that Reed would be suspended and Victor  expelled and deported.  Reed would never see Victor again. Now wearing bandages over his face at all times, Doom returned to Sokovia where he used his technological genius(combined later with ultron technology and energy channeled from other worlds) and within a few years won the war. He than donned a suit of armor resembling his robots and became the new ruler. He blames the accident that ruined his face on Reed.  He should be a very ambiguous character. He’ll do something horrible, then something good that changes your mind and then right back to bad.  His armor combines science and magic. It’s like a more advanced iron man suit. (designed to resemble a suit of armor like the picture above) but it channels energy from other dimensions instead of from an arc reactor.(magic)

Annihilus: A 20 foot tall insectoid monster that rules the Negative Zone. He is a Warlord with  no concept of empathy. All he knows are the feelings of power, hunger, paranoia, and anger. He is insanely paranoid of people trying to take away his power, causing him to have singlehandedly killed most of his universe. He has taken complete control of the negative zones various insect races using a weapon with the power to completely eliminate anything from existence: the Ultimate Nullifier .

Alicia Masters: Ben’s blind art sculpting girlfriend. She’s a pretty well known sculptor. She created a gallery of superhero busts that she sculpted by feeling their faces.

Here is the basic story:

Fantastic Four 2: Electric Boogaloo
Jk not really. This is the title:

Fantastic Four: Doomed

The Movie begins with the same scene that started the last movie but from Doom’s point of view (in his point of view Reed sets off the explosion, it is always left unknown the true story)and what happened after.(him taking over Sokovia and killing its monarch:King Vladimir) we then go to the FF. Reed is working on a gate to another dimension(the negative zone) Ben and Alicia are now dating. Everything is great until Doombots kidnaps Sue and Reed right out of the Baxter Building. Reed and Sue  are shocked Doom is back and how much he's changed. Doom( on a throne with an army of Doombots that look exactly like him and a pet tiger) reveals to Reed proof that he has built a fully functional Negative zone gate ( as if to prove he's better than Reed) and that robots he has sent in have discovered a weapons with power that would allow Doom to conquer the world. Doom will kill Sue unless Reed goes into the negative zone to get it for him.
Reed must journey into the negative zone( a strange psychedelic universe with destroyed civilizations where everything is dead but scavenging insectoid races) and battle alien bugs as he attempts to break into the Cathedral of Death( Annihilus’s base, the remains of an ancient space station) to steal the Ultimate Nullifier. Annihilus learns of the breach in dimensions when he captures Reed and plans to invade earth as he has conquered everything in the negative zone, which is now dying. Meanwhile Ben and Johnny are trying to find out where Reed and Sue were taken with the help of SHIELD(or whatever they rename it when it comes back in the movies: HAMMER, SWORD). Sue attempts to escape from Castle Doom’s dungeon. Ben and Johnny find her but are captured.

Eventually Reed is able to trick Annihilus out of the Nullifier, kill him and escape to Earth,  closing the portal.  Doom demands the Nullifier, The rest of the FF are in an undisclosed location that a bomb will go off in unless Doom checks in every hour. Reed is forced to hand the Nullifier over to Doom who does not realize that as is a negative zone weapon it has the opposite effect in a positive world. Doom releases them and then Doom tries to kill them all as the weapon implodes on itself instead. Doom becomes enraged and battles the FF with a legion of Doom Bots and his (now revealed as a robot) tiger. The FF defeat him and leave him in his destroyed castle to swear vengeance. His army destroyed, all alone in steel and stone with nothing but a cold armored shell and the rage that fuels him left. Nothing but his insane yet cunning mind and unbreakable willpower. He will never know peace until the FF are dead, and the world is his. Because as it is soon revealed, he knows that something is heading to earth. Something is coming, and only with him as King and the Nullifier in his hands could he have stopped it.

End credit scenes:
Sue: I’m pregnant
Joke end credits, ala Shwarma or Howard the Duck.

Let's get a Doctor Doom spinoff too. Doctor Doom: triumph and torment or Books of Doom. Either would be cool.

THE THREEQUEL:

New Characters:

Kl'rt/ The Super Skrull: A warrior of Skrull people. The first to undergo genetic modification as a new breed of Skrull. ( sort of the Skrull Captain America) When his family on the Skrull home world was killed by Galactus he led a team on a Skrull warship which he plans to use to find the Silver Surfer and kill him for choosing the Skrull home world for his master. He does not want to do horrible things, but he will do what is necessary for the greater good.
Silver Surfer: A man from an alien world who was forced to sacrifice his humanity to save his world from the cosmic entity, Galactus. He searches the cosmos for planets suitable to be converted into energy Galactus can devour. Over the years he has begun to lose his humanity and become more detached. He exists to serve Galactus.
Franklin Richards: Young son of Reed and Sue. Energetic. Forms a bond with the Silver Surfer after he arrives on Earth. He believes he has no superhuman abilities but due to contact with the Ultimate Nulifier before his birth he may be the most powerful person on earth.
Lyja: A female Skrull soldier who works under the Skrull Commander: K’lrt.

Fantastic Four: Secret Invasion

Epic Battle in space between The Silver Surfer and a Star Destroyer sized Skrull Warship. The Surfer is knocked off his board and falls to Earth, landing in Central Park. K’lrt and three Skrull soldiers(one of them lyja) fly down to Central Park in a smaller craft. At the Baxter Building the FF(minus Johnny who is bringing Franklin back  from a trip to Central Park) are preparing for a Christmas party. Guests include several Avengers, Alicia Masters, and Danny Rand. Johnny is distracted by a robbery( the Beetle) and Franklin runs into the forest where he meets an injured silver surfer. Franklin offers to bring The Surfer up to the Baxter building. Silver Surfer uses what is left of his power in his weakened state to camouflage himself and his board. Johnny returns and they return to home. The surfer follows in secret, as do the Skrulls, now disguised as humans.
They will return as The Christmas party begins to pick up. Franklin will try to hide the surfer in his room, the skrulls will infiltrate the party, replacing various guests, and locking down the building. Lyja will impersonate Alicia and attempt to gain information from the four on the surfer, but begin to fall in love with Johnny, causing conflict between him and Ben. A fight between the Thing and K’lrt ending with The Thing being replaced. K’lrt will reveal himself to Reed, Johnny, and Sue. They will learn his story and that if the surfer is not found the Skrulls will blow up the entire east coast to kill him. Reed and Sue will discover Franklin is hiding the alien fugitive.
The Skrulls will reveal themselves to the entire party, a fight will begin between some of the super powered members of the group ending with The Silver Surfer giving himself up to the Skrulls. Franklin learned he had powers from The Silver Surfer while he was hiding at the Baxter Building, and his reality altering powers are revealed to the Skrulls, who decide they need to take him too, as although he is currently very weak, he could one day become as powerful as Galactus. The FF refuse, and the Skrulls prepare to blow up the east coast to kill him. The Skrulls escape the Baxter building but Lyja sacrifices herself to stop the bomb from dropping. The Skrull ship is destroyed and every alien aboard it dies but The Silver Surfer, who flies off into the cosmos, he begins his journey to return to Galactus, shaken by the events of the past few hours. The FF watch from the roof of the Baxter Building as the ship explodes in the atmosphere.

End Credits Scenes:
Stan Lee dressed as the watcher, Thanos, the collector, and the grandmaster stand on earth's moon as they prepare to witness the rarest, most destructive, and most beautiful sight in the galaxy, the consumption of a planet by Galactus.
Something for another Marvel Movie

IDEA: A Thing spinoff with Puppet Master as the villain. Give Alicia some character development I don't have room for in the main movies.

The umm... 4quel:

Fantastic Four: Galactus

New Characters:
Galactus: The Devourer of Worlds, The Oldest Being in our Universe, he existed at the end of the universe, and at the beginning, and he will exist at the end again. He is feared throughout the universe, he cannot be defeated, because he is a force of nature. Few have ever looked at him and survived. He is in some ways surprisingly human. He looks like an enormous but elderly man covered in armor, his eyes are exploding supernovas. He fears death, and has devoured countless worlds to survive. He is completely alone, the only one of who he can speak to on his level is the silver surfer. He does not care about mere mortals, only his own survival. He cannot be stopped but in rare cases a deal can be made.  He is about the height of 2014 Legendary Godzilla not counting his spiked helmet.

The Story:

At the White House the President is informed that an unknown object the size of the Moon has just entered the solar system and  is on a course towards the Earth. At it's speed it will arrive will arrive in 12 hours. After some debate (nuke or superhero and then avengers or fantastic four) the FF are called. Meanwhile Franklin’s powers are being tested by Reed. Although the Surfer and the Skrulls said he was powerful he really can't do anything. Then the president calls, The FF prepare to head off into space, leaving Franklin with Alicia and Herbie, a robot babysitter. They fly off in a rocket and within a few hours arrive near Jupiter where the giant Möbius shaped ship is flying towards Earth. The FF prepare to board, and site the Silver Surfer leaving the ship and heading towards earth. Reed remembers K’lrt’s story of Galactus and realizes this must be his ship. The board the moon sized ship from the entrance The Surfer left from and enter the ship in space suits. They will wander the ship and split up to cover more ground. They discover Galactus’s living quarters( purple energy and a starry night behind a veil of smoke where Galactus stands waiting, a very cool visual) they try to communicate with him and after several minutes of trying are able to get him to notice them. He explains to them through a telepathic link that he is Galactus and has come to devour Earth. The FF try to reason with him but he hungers and humanity is not worthy of being spared. He refuses to speak anymore to primitive beings and ends the link. Back on Earth the Surfer is traveling around the world to major cities where he informs the populations the end is near. A nation attempts to silence him with tanks and fighter jets but he destroys them with ease.(he was injured last movie he's back to full power now) Franklin sees this on the news and escapes the Baxter Building in the Fantasticar.  He flies off to the surfer in London where the surfer explains to him he usually just just prepares the planet to be eaten but he is giving everyone a chance to escape because Franklin helped him last time he visited earth searching for planets to devour when he was attacked by Skrulls.
The Möbius ship arrives, filling the sky and blocking out the sun. People panic around the world as tidal waves hit cities. Superheroes around the world save people from riots and flooding. Alicia and several Future Foundation scientists watch from the Baxter Building.  The FF have been trying to shut off the ship but to no avail. They realize they have arrived in earth's orbit. The fly back to The Baxter Building where Reed contacts scientists around the world and the buildings staff to explain the situation and what they learned aboard the ship. Sue, Johnny, and Ben take a plane to London where Franklin has been seen talking to the Surfer. They attempt to brainstorm a way to stop Galactus. Dr. Doom arrives unannounced at The Baxter Building and explains to Reed that he is willing to work with him for the good of mankind. If they fail Doom has prepared a device that will beam Sokovia into the Negative Zone.
The FF minus Reed arrive in London where a smaller ship(the size of city, full of purple energy)  has entered the atmosphere, and floats directly above London. Galactus begins to descend from his ship. The F3 reunite with Franklin as The Surfer flies off. Galactus speaks to The Surfer about how he is angered the World eating machine was not already prepared for him and he will have to drain his energy to build it. Johnny and Ben try to fight Galactus as he completely ignores them. Sue and Franklin attempt to reason with the Surfer, who Franklin says could persuade Galactus. Galactus begins taking apart buildings and reconstructing them into what The Surfer says is a machine that will convert the planet into energy. The Surfer explains his origin to Sue and Franklin and explains he cannot fight Galactus, because his sacrifice has kept his planet safe. In New York Doom explains to Reed why he wanted the Nullifier(because he knew Galactus was coming), and the two decide Franklin(a new evolutionary step) could be used as proof humanity is worthy of not being destroyed.  Galactus, and both head to London on Doom’s Jet. Galactus has completed the World Eating Machine, and it drills into the Earth, around the world earthquakes begin. The F3 attempt to destroy the machine as Galactus swats them away. Reed and Doom arrive and find Franklin with the surfer. Doom, The Surfer, and Reed bring Franklin before Galactus as proof humanity is important enough to spare from destruction, as he could be the next evolutionary step. Galactus regrets having to eat earth, but he is hungry. The Silver Surfer offers himself up to Galactus, because with the energy inside of him. Galactus could survive long enough to find another planet. The surfer sacrifices himself and Galactus leaves earth. Doom quietly exits as the FF mourn The Silver Surfer, and Franklin uses his abilities for the first time to bring the surfer back to life. 6 months later the world is still being rebuilt after the destruction caused, but humanity has survived. The Fantastic Four, Franklin, Alecia,  and The Silver Surfer all  list together at a dinner table in the Baxter Building, a family.

Have some nice ideas, but fail due to no Latveria. I mean Sokovia really?
TheRose

I have opinions on all of your films (I especially love the first!), but I’d like to zoom in on Doomed. It’s long, but if you get a chance to read it, I think this might be a slightly different direction to take the film.

TL; DR: I love your ideas, but I'd tweak the story to make the focus on revealing the complex nature of Doom and the team coming to terms with their roles as a family. And throwing in some Blastaar and Cosmic control rod fun.
===========

I love the mirrored intro. Definitely keep that. Not sure where the tiger is coming from, but that’s fun I guess, haha. Annhilus is our fun faceless-pure-evil villain. What you’re doing with the Ultimate Nullifier is very cool, so keep that up.

I’d alter the bit about Sokovia becoming Latveria. Latveria could be a neighboring nation that has made “diplomatic arrangements” to absorb the broken Sokovia. We don’t need to see Doom’s rise to power—he was born with the right to rule. He doesn’t kill the King of Sokovia because Doom emanates power; he just tells the king to step down and let the rightful ruler

After this prologue, I’d love to segue Marvel’s first family spending time together as a family. Maybe it’s Alicia Masters having dinner with the crew for the first time. There are lots of jabs and jokes, with a particular emphasis on Johnny’s immaturity. Maybe he plays a prank on Ben.

An attack is heard outside and we jump into the team taking down one of their classic foes. My vote is for Mad Thinker and the Awesome Android (a callback to the giant monster fights in the first film) or a Frightful Four consisting of Trapster, Wizard. They are positively dancing through the fight and handling in a well-coordinated effort. But at the end of the fight, Johnny makes an arrogant mistake, nearly getting himself killed.

The team manages to win, but Johnny gets a lecture from the others and it escalates quickly. Ben calls Johnny a jackass for running out half-cocked and reckless. Reed keeps hammering the fact that Johnny’s impulsive actions could endanger the team. Sue is trying not to take sides and is generally supportive of Johnny saying “We are a family and families forgive mistakes” but Johnny takes this as patronizing and he blows up on her. He has no interest in being treated like a child anymore.

It’s at this heated moment that Doom strikes. The Doombots attack targeting Sue based off a DNA sample. Tensions are high, and they take their frustration out on the robot horde and have some success, but Doom already has a backup plan (think Earth’s Mightiest heroes S2E1). Reed realizes that Sue is the target and finds a way to override their programming and have require their tracking confirm visual contact as well as DNA confirmation. Sue goes invisible but the bots find Johnny, the other Storm child, and mistakenly kidnap him instead.

Dr. Doom poses your same ultimatum to Reed, but with Johnny as the captive. Reed initially wants to try and outsmart Doom instead of giving in, but when Sue insists that her brother’s life is on the line, Reed agrees to go under the condition that Ben and Sue can come with. Doom agrees.

We find out Doom sending Reed as a fool’s errand. Reed, Sue, and Ben will not be able to defeat Annihilus’ forces alone, but while the ruler of the Negative Zone is distracted, he plans to break into the Cathedral of Death and seize victory himself. Johnny nova blasts from his initial imprisonment and overhears the actual plan, but Doom discovers him and easily subdues him.

But Doom’s doesn’t have time to negotiate. An annihilation horde led by Annhilus attacks Doom through the Negative Zone gate, so opportunist Doom enlists Johnny’s assistance to eliminate the horde. After they succeed, Johnny sees an opportunity to get out of his prison cell and offers to aid the dictator. A mildly impressed Doom weighs his options and figures that having a partner might be helpful; he agrees. The two of them take Blastaar prisoner, demanding he help them infiltrate the castle. Doom promises to give Blastaar a rank of power once Annhilus is defeated.

So now we have two scenes for action: The Fantastic Three taking the fight to Annhilus’ front door and Doom and Johnny sneaking through the back. The three can discuss what it means to be a family. Johnny is now our lens to Doom, and it is through this interaction that we learn how Doom wishes to rule the world to save it. Maybe there can a nod to his mother’s trapped soul. The important thing is that we, the audience, get introduced to Doom like Kingpin or Magneto—he’s a fully realized threat to our heroes that makes the viewer sympathize without condoning his violent actions. His people depend on him---the whole world is Doom’s family and he seeks to protect them from the universe at large by conquering it.

Both groups raid the castle at the same time, Torch, now a bit more sympathetic to Doom, decides to take out a little frustration on his teammates. But when Annhilus shows up, he begins defeating both groups. Reluctantly, they have to work together to defeat Annihilus. When it seems like Annhilus is defeated, Doom seizes the opportunity to take the Ultimate Nullifier. Johnny convinces Doom to use it to destroy Reed: but surprise! Johnny was playing Doom the whole time based off a quibble in his mind. “If it nullifies in our world, in the negative zone…shouldn’t it be the Ultimate Activator?” it was a dumb gamble, but one only Johnny would make. The devices jams on itself, but resurrects Annhilus who demands to destroy all the positive energy beings who are encroaching on his realm.

And now is your big final showdown: The Fantastic Four vs. an angry Doom with a horde of Doombots vs. Annhilus and Blastaar, now scared and convinced he has to work for his original boss.

Doom and Reed realize that the cosmic control rod is the source of Annhilus’ power and it becomes a race to retrieve it. Thing gets some really great clobbering done in this scene and gets to beat the tar out of Blastaar (poor guy never stood a chance in this movie). The battle ends when Sue is able to seize the rod, thereby sapping Annhilus of all his power and then using the item to take down Doom. This interaction with the rod is what gives the future Franklin Richards his connection to the cosmic control rod.

Sue wants to trap him here, where he can never come back and hurt her family again, but Johnny vouches for Doom: “His people need him. Like it or not, Latveria depends on Victor.” Reed agrees, citing the fact that they are not vigilantes and can’t dole out justice as they see fit. There’s a new respect between these two. Sue relents and lets up. So we maintain the whole “diplomatic immunity” aspect to Doom’s character—he is truly untouchable.

Just my two cents, building on your awesome concepts here. Now I’m tempted to write my own synopses for a F4 franchise…

As long as this hypothetical film is true to the spirit of the comic books, the outside MCU references aren't forced, and Doctor Doom isn't a cardboard villain, then it would easily be the greatest Fantastic Four film ever made.

You have some really great ideas. Nice work. I am of the mindset that Doom's origins stay separate from the F4's though. I would like to see the team become a team first and then encounter Doom later. Trying to shoehorn them together from the start has not worked at all in the last films, and is part of the reason I think they were terrible. Plus, in the original comics, Reed and Doom didn't share an origin.
TomSolo
TomSolo - 12/27/2016, 12:18 PM
Yeah, man. It's good stuff. I like what you did. I guess my thing with tying Doom and Richards together that early on in the MCU is for 2 reasons:

1) It kind of (and only kind of) sets Doom up as only a Fantastic Four villain, whereas I would personally like to see him as a villain to the entire MCU. Can you imagine if they set up Doom and Osborne over the long haul, and had them eventually teaming up, while the whole time trying to outsmart and double-cross each other? I would love that!

2) Keeping Doom's origin separate speaks more to his insanity. His inability to let the whole "Reed bested Doom" makes more sense if the rivalry goes back a long way, even if Doom is the only one who acknowledges the rivalry. If they are just two strangers that meet in battle, and Doom is bested and can't let it go to the point that it hinders future plans, then that is just crazy. I feel, from a psychological perspective, that Doom should be ridiculously intelligent, to the point where he is his the smartest person in the MCU. It's his crazy that prevents him from winning. And showing that he would let a complete stranger get so under his skin would magnify that.

Again, just my thoughts. And again, great article. Hopefully, we will see the day when these characters are at home in the MCU. I feel that, no matter which way they go with the story, Marvel will do a better job than Fox &a Co. have.

Totally cool. I know Annihilus is a tough nut to crack, but I feel you made the right decision in keeping less relatable, cold and emotionless. He's imsectoid. It makes sense. Just a relentless horde from another dimension. Now, that is going to be tough to add substance to, but, whatever. If he's going to be a villain, with the right writers, it could work. I wouldn't want to see them trying to make a sympathetic character out of him.

The others work. I'm glad to see that you have split up the Skrulls and Galactus. Too many villains in one film usually screws it all up, unless they work well together (I would love to see Mysterious and the Chameleon team up on screen). Galactus and the Skrulls are big enough to warrant their own films. I guess if I had to find something to change... I would put a film in between the Skrulls film and the Galactus film. Like, maybe the Doom movie. Have the F4, then Annihilus, then the Skrulls, gen Doom again (gives him time to do some more sh!t with the other MCU characters and also time to stockpile and upgrade!), then do Galactus. Putting a movie in there kind of gives the Skrulls backstory time to set in, and draws out the impending arrival of Galactus.
