Exciting New Footage in THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG Critics Spot

Most critics have reacted favorably to the second installment in Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy (which currently sits at 81% on RT), and you can see some of their quotes along with great Smaug-centric footage from the movie in a new tv spot after the jump.

The second in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.


The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug hits theaters this Friday.

Seeing Double feature of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and Desolation of Smaug on Thursday night. Only theatre in Dallas-Fort Worth showing it in IMAX 3D in the High frame rate.
