"Oliver (Stephen Amell) is concerned when a mysterious illness sweeps the city, infecting hundreds of people, including Diggle (David Ramsey). Oliver discovers Vertigo in Diggle’s blood and realizes The Count (guest star Seth Gabel) has broken out of prison and is once again distributing his drug. Meanwhile, Moira (Susanna Thompson) goes on trial for her participation in the Undertaking. ADA Adam Donner (guest star Dylan Bruce) collapses in court with Vertigo symptoms so Laurel (Katie Cassidy) must step in and try the case against Moira. Oliver is torn between standing by his family during the trial and catching The Count. However, things change when Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) follows a lead and walks straight into a trap set by The Count. Bethany Rooney directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Drew Z. Greenberg."

The CW Arrow season 2

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

Show is really setting a high bar at the moment.

I hope it is connected to MoS, but that doesn't mean that these characters have to be in a JL movie, they just have to reference it. Much like how AoS will probably, and hopefully, never have its characters outside Coulson and Hill to enter the movie world.

I like how the split in the prison wall looks like an arrowhead.

Prefer the shorter version, more punchy and to the point.

Hate watching about the Earthquake though, just reminds me I live on a big ole fault line.

Also liked the Dollmaker cameo.

Thank god they killed Vertigo. Next to Huntress he was the only annoying part of this show, next to the unnecessary love triangle in the first season.

I couldn't finish the first season, acting was crap and the writing wasn't anything special. But, with all the good reviews I read here, I think I'll give it another shot

I think had they known from the start that they were eventually going to introduce super powers into the Arrow universe they would have done him differently. Although I suppose they could have given him a tech based weapon similar to Canary's sonic scream device or the new52's Count Vertigo.

I was really sad to see the Count bite the bullet at the end of the show. Seth Gabel was fantastic as Count Vertigo! He really brought a great, crazed energy to the part... and I kind of hope they find some ridiculous way to bring him back later on in the show (hell, they're doing the League of Assassins and name-dropping Ra's Al Ghul-- why not use a Lazarus Pit? ...You know, other than that there's literally no reason the League would bring the Count back from the dead...)

This opening is pretty decent, though I can see why they cut it-- at the very least it gives us a stronger explanation for how the Count wasn't batsh*t crazy at the start of the episode, and it also foreshadows the Count's death a little bit, playing to the idea of wasted potential in his twisted lost life. Only thing is, it's forced as all hell...

This show is killing it every week, it seems. Keep it up, Arrow!!!

(And as for the analogy that Arrow is to The Dark Knight as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is to The Avengers... I would have to disagree with that. Arrow is DEFINITELY TDK-level storytelling on a T.V. scale and budget, but Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D doesn't have HALF the energy or sheer entertainment value of Joss Whedon's opus. So while there's a definite comparison between the big screen counterparts [even if it's an apples-to-oranges comparison], it's no freaking contest between the two T.V. shows-- Arrow is the better series, hands down.)

Felicity has always been sexy. I personally find her the most attractive on Arrow

Anybody notice the camera man tried to get the panty shot on Felicity in the conference room while she was tied to the chair?... Twice.

Glad Oliver did what he did in the end, now hopefully someone else takes up the Count Vertigo mantle, maybe an actual European Count who is corrupt and stole the vertigo formula and has perfected it and can be a bigger threat towards Oliver and co.

I wasn't too impressed with the arrow wall/V wall. I get the symbolism, but if you were to squeeze the wall back together, it wouldn't match up properly. Petty, but that still irked me. lol
